Black Garlic is also called Black Gold in Asia. Not only do they have a less pungent flavor after 2 weeks of fermentation, black garlic tastes between dark cacao and licorice and is exceptional as a medicinal ingredient in food making. Some people are against the five pungent ingredients as it is believed to stimulate desires. I personally believe this is up to individual to test it out to see if it true for themselves. Everything in moderation including moderation. Donβt take anyoneβs words for it. Test it for yourself. I tested it over and over again since 2014 when I first knew about it from an old granny in Singapore.
