Launch time is here. The new update for AI Voice Dictation is now ready after a short delay. Below is a short summary of new features and bug fixes.
This version is 3.8. The last release was 3.2. Since 3.8 is this month's flagship version, we skipped 3.2 and moved to 3.8.
First, Mixed Language Detection Mode. This is the main feature of this update. With it, you can dictate in mixed scripts. Earlier, if translation mode was on, whatever language you spoke was translated into the target language. If translation was off, output came in the same language you spoke. So you could not speak in many languages and get output in many languages. Now, after turning on Mixed Language Detection Mode, you can dictate in many languages. For example, speak in Hindi, English, and Nepali, and get output in those same languages. If Emoji Refinement mode is on, it will also work here. Note: Mixed Language Detection Mode automatically disables automatic language detection and translation mode. So when using it, you cannot use translation or AI automatic language detection.
Second, Quick Actions button. By clicking Quick Actions in the main dialog, you can turn emoji mode, refinement mode, and translate mode on or off. This feature was present up to 3.1, but was stopped in 3.2 for some reasons. Due to user demand, it is back.
Third, Models List Update. Six older AI models have been removed. Three AI variants are now provided: Balanced, Fastest, and Advanced. The old models were confusing. It was hard to know which was better for what, which was for speed, and which was for balance. Now the choice is simple. Balanced gives advanced capability and fastest speed. Fastest focuses only on speed. Advanced is pro-level, and its dictation is very impressive. However, I recommend the Balanced AI variant. Also, the models list in Custom API has been updated and new AI models have been added.
Fourth, Beep while speaking and Beep while processing. These new features let you choose whether to beep or not, based on your preference.
Fifth, New Developer Settings. Here you can import, export, and reset settings. This will fix many big problems. By clicking Import Settings, you can add settings configured by other friends into your own settings. If your settings get corrupted and you want to use a friend's settings, this helps you. By clicking Export Settings, if you want to share your settings with someone, you can save the settings and share that JSON file.
How to use it? Whoever wants to give their settings to others should click Export Settings. The settings will be saved in your Downloads folder as a JSON file. The file name will be aivd_settings.json. All settings are included in this JSON. But do not worry: your custom API keys are not included. We built this update keeping every aspect in mind. Then share that JSON file with the friend you want to give it to. After your friend gets the JSON file and downloads it, they should go to the extension settings, click Import Settings, and select that downloaded JSON file. Then their settings will be applied. This is how you can use this feature. If some setting gets messed up by chance, you can also click Reset to reset it.
System instructions have been made better than before so it works smoothly. Other general bugs and stability issues have been fixed.
My recommendation: try not to use custom API keys as much as possible. If your API key is paid, or if you have more than 30 API keys, then you should use this setting. Otherwise, the internal API keys provided by us are enough for this work.

hello friends!
here's the custom translation engine file for jieshuo screenreader for those who use this thing.
basically as you might be aware of the fact that jieshuo's translation service stopped working.
here's how to set it up:
1. check the option called use custom translation engine from advanced settings>assistant and translation settings.
2. copy/save this file to your download folder.
3. navigate to this file and move/overwrite this file to jieshuo/resources folder, and restart the reader.
alternatively; you can also copy the entire content from this file, go to advanced settings/voice assistant and translation settings, click on edit custom translation engine, delete it's previous code and paste this new code there.
note: am not the owner of this creation and the credit goes to vladimir for publishing it.

3. Customize Main Screen:
You can now customize your main screen layout. You can choose to show or hide specific tools, including Identify Unlabelled, Captcha Solver, Continuous Scene Description, Record & Transcribe, and Capture Image.
4. Large Media Upload:
This setting is for Gemini. By default, Gemini supports media files up to 100 MB. Enabling this option allows you to upload media files larger than 100 MB.
