Active Recall strategies for the Exam

Creating flash cards - the process of creating flashcards is perfect for familiarizing yourself with what you need to remember.

Teaching someone
When you try to explain something to someone else you're forced to explore it in multiple perspectives.

Reading and remembering, read short sessions and remember by repeating them 5 - 10 times .

Practice testing, take your notes and prepare a test for that. Take your practice exams just like your usual exams.

The Pomodoro Technique was developed in the late 1980s by then university student Francesco Cirillo. Cirillo was struggling to focus on his studies and complete assignments. Feeling overwhelmed, he asked himself to commit to just 10 minutes of focused study time.

Encouraged by the challenge, he found a tomato (pomodoro in Italian) shaped kitchen timer, and the Pomodoro technique was born.

The technique has 25-minute work sprints d with 5 minutes breaks.

Spaced repetition uses increasing intervals of time between review sessions of previously learned material. This exploits the spacing effect, which refers to the fact that studying the material a second time is more effective when the two study sessions are spaced apart.
