This shivering feeling you get when you meet seemingly perfect people that are sure to drive positive change into your life is baloney.
However narcissistic this may sound- follow your ambitions, your schedules, your life shortly. Spending loads of time trying to get into someone's life, be 'meaningful' to them will leave you with nothing but regret. People are not how you see them nor they are how they project themselves into the outer world; the deeper you get to know someone, the more you realize how distorted one's view of someone can be. Chasing someone's heart is the same as running after the moon to overun it: nonsensical run so to say.
Living for someone's attention; to be validated, to be TREATED in a special manner MOST of all-has been the MAIN motive for many, and that explains why you are so sensitive to others' response/reaction to your actions, hence this has NOTHING to do with you being an emotional person- it's just the motive you follow which you find too important not to be bothered with. Up to now, I thought I'm just sensitive until it dawned on me that all this time I simply fell into the group of 'people addicted' which shows why I can react viscerally to some opinions [especially the people's I prioritize too much] and excuse myself by saying them 'I'm unstable'. Now it's clear as it could be to me. If I could say that I want them to be impressed by me, so that they will treat me specially, thereby making me feel worthy living, I would, but this Asel is crossed out.
Enough is enough. Praise is not the only thing that makes you feel enough, there's plenty more that I didn't discover, so that's gonna be an exciting journey. Never ever would I step back having realized this dark truth...THIS POST IS ABOUT BEING " A PEOPLE.S PLEASER"
