🎓 The Real Difficulties of Studying in Europe (Part 1) — The Untold Story Behind the Dream

"Everyone wants the flowers, but no one talks about the dirt."

We all see the shiny Instagram stories — Eiffel Tower glimmers, lakes in Switzerland, cozy cafés in Germany — and dream of “a life in Europe.” But let’s pause for a moment and talk about what’s behind those pretty frames.

When you move abroad as a student, you don’t just cross borders —
you cross into a world of uncertainty, loneliness, and self-reinvention.

🔻 You’ll feel lost.
Not just on the streets when Google Maps fails — but also inside yourself.
New country, new system, new faces. You’ll start questioning everything:
“Can I survive this?”
🔻 Language can become your biggest enemy.
Even if you studied English or German for years, the moment you need to explain an emergency or fill a bureaucratic form — it’s like learning to speak all over again.
No one tells you how frustrating it feels to want to speak — and feel voiceless.
🔻 Paperwork and bureaucracy can break your spirit.
Student registration, health insurance, visa renewals, housing contracts...
The processes are complex and unforgiving. One missed deadline and everything can collapse.
🔻 Financial stress is real.
In the beginning, you might count every euro, skip meals, or hustle for odd jobs. Many students are afraid to ask for help because “everyone back home thinks I’m living the dream.”
🔻 Mental health struggles are common.
You’ll miss your family.
You’ll feel homesick.
You’ll question your decision.
And that’s okay. You are not weak — you are human.
Growth often begins in the darkest places.

But here’s the beauty:

💥 These challenges don’t break you.
They build you.
They shape your identity.
They awaken the strongest version of you.
🌱 Growth hurts. But so does staying stuck.

"A comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there."

To everyone dreaming of coming to Europe —
Yes, it’s worth it. But don’t just chase the dream. Prepare for the storm that comes with it.
We’re here to help you weather it — together. 🌍

🎓 The Real Difficulties of Studying in Europe (Part 2) — The Inner Battle

“Everyone sees the destination, but few talk about the storms along the way.”

In yesterday’s post, we uncovered the external challenges of studying in Europe: language barriers, financial pressure, bureaucracy, and loneliness. Today, let’s go one level deeper — into the inner struggles, the invisible ones that few talk about but many silently fight through.

🧠 The Mental Weight of Expectations
You come to Europe not just with a backpack, but with the weight of dreams — yours and your family’s.
“You’re the lucky one.”
“Make it count.

But when things get tough, who do you tell that you’re breaking inside?

🕳️ The Identity Crisis
In your home country, you knew who you were.
Here? You’re just another foreigner trying to find their place.
You start asking:
“Where do I belong?”
“Who am I becoming?”

And that, my friend, is one of the hardest but most transformational journeys you’ll ever take.

💔 The Isolation of Growth
You grow fast — not by choice, but by force.
And not everyone grows with you.
Friends drift. Relationships change.
You learn to stand alone — and that’s both empowering and heartbreaking.

The Constant Pressure to “Make It”
You’re racing against time:
• To finish your degree
• To find a job
• To prove yourself
• To stay legally
Every day feels like a small battle. And yet, you show up.
And that, my friend, is the definition of courage.

🔄 The Loop of Doubt
There will be days you’ll want to give up.
You’ll ask yourself:
“Was it worth it?”
But growth isn’t linear. And success isn’t loud.
Sometimes it’s just surviving the day with your head held high.

“When nothing is certain, everything is possible.”

To everyone out there building a life from scratch —
You're not behind. You're not failing.
You're becoming.

This channel exists because you deserve to know:
You’re not alone.
We rise — together. 🌍

🎓 The Bright Side of Studying in Europe – Part 1: The Freedom to Shape Your Own Path 🇪🇺

When you study in Europe, you’re not just collecting credits — you’re collecting experiences, perspectives, and a whole new version of yourself.
Here’s why Europe can change your life:

🌍 Diversity of Cultures in One Continent
Where else can you take a train for 2 hours and find yourself in a completely different world — language, food, traditions, everything? Europe is a continent of contrasts, and every border you cross teaches you more about humanity and about yourself.

🎓 World-Class Education & Affordability
From Germany’s tuition-free universities to France’s art and culture hubs, Europe offers globally recognized degrees — often at a fraction of the cost you’d pay elsewhere.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

Freedom & Flexibility
You get the power to design your days: study, work, travel, and grow. You're trusted with your independence — and that very freedom teaches you responsibility, creativity, and leadership.

💡 Personal Growth & Self-Discovery
In European classrooms, you’re not just a student — you’re a voice, a thinker, a contributor. You learn to ask better questions, to stand for what matters, and to explore who you really are — beyond borders, beyond expectations.

This is your sign. If you’ve ever dreamed of learning, living, and growing in a place where every street is a story, every person is a lesson, and every experience is a step toward the future — this is your chance. 🌱

“You are not a tree. If you don’t like where you are, move.” — Jim Rohn

Let’s make it happen. Let’s build the life we once dreamed of. 🚀

🎓 DREAMING OF STUDYING IN GERMANY? HERE’S HOW TO START.

Your future is built by the steps you take today.

Germany has become one of the top destinations for international students — and it’s not just about tuition-free education. It’s about the opportunity to grow, explore, and build a life that goes beyond boundaries. Here’s a full roadmap to begin your journey:

1. Find the Right Program (Bachelor / Master / Foundation)
Visit https://www.daad.de/en/ to search for English-taught programs or Studienkolleg/Foundation Year.
If your high school diploma isn’t recognized directly, Studienkolleg (Foundation Year) helps you qualify for a German university.

🌟 Recommended Foundation Programs in English:
Berlin International College – https://www.berlin-international-college.de
Jacobs University Foundation Year – https://www.jacobs-university.de/study/foundation-year
TUDIAS Dresden – https://www.tudias.de/en/

📝 2. Prepare Documents
High school diploma (translated + certified)
Passport
Motivation Letter
Language certificate (IELTS/TOEFL or German if required)
CV and academic records
APS certificate (for some countries)

📬 3. Apply via Uni-Assist or University Directly
https://www.uni-assist.de helps you apply to multiple universities at once.
Some universities accept direct applications. Check their websites carefully.

💶 4. Blocked Account + Health Insurance
You’ll need a blocked account (~€11,000) to get your student visa.
Expatrio, Fintiba, and Coracle are common providers.
Get German public or private health insurance as part of your visa requirement.

🎯 5. Apply for a Visa
Submit all your documents to the German embassy or consulate in your country.
Include acceptance letter, blocked account confirmation, and health insurance.

Your life doesn’t change when you move to another country. It changes when you realize you’re capable of building something meaningful — anywhere.” 🌍

This is not just about studying abroad. It’s about owning your life, shaping your identity, and building something that serves a greater purpose.

📌 Save this post. Share it. Use it to fuel your journey or guide someone else who’s lost in the fog of uncertainty.

💬 DM @togetherbeyondboundaries or @urinboev14 if you need guidance. We are here to support your growth — step by step.

Keep Moving. Keep Learning. Keep Exploring.

🎯 STUDY IN GERMANY: WHAT IS A STUDIENKOLLEG & WHAT ARE YOUR OPTIONS? 🇩🇪

“Your future doesn’t start when you arrive — it starts when you prepare for it.”

Many students dream of studying in Germany — tuition-free, world-class education, and a vibrant international experience. But if your high school diploma isn’t recognized as equivalent to the German Abitur, you may need to complete a Studienkolleg before starting your undergraduate studies.

🏫 What is a Studienkolleg?
A Studienkolleg is a one-year preparatory course for international students whose secondary school qualifications don’t directly meet the requirements for university admission in Germany.

📚 It focuses on subject-specific preparation in one of these tracks:
M-Kurs (Medical & Biology-related programs)
T-Kurs (Technical programs: Engineering, Math, IT)
W-Kurs (Economics & Business)
G-Kurs (Humanities & Social Sciences)
S-Kurs (Language Studies)

📝 At the end of the program, you take the Feststellungsprüfung (FSP), which qualifies you to apply for undergraduate studies in Germany.

💡 Alternatives to Studienkolleg
You might not need Studienkolleg if:
You have completed one year of university in your home country
You hold an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma
You completed A-Levels (with certain subjects)
You studied in the USA or a country with 12+ years of education and college credits
You attend a Foundation Year in English in Germany (private institutes offer this path with university placement)

🌐 Top Foundation Year Programs (English-taught, Alternative Path)

1. Jacobs University Foundation Year
https://www.jacobs-university.de/study/foundation-year
2. Berlin International College (BIC)
https://www.berlin-international-college.de
3. CBS International Business School – Prep4University
https://cbs.de/en/university/international/foundation-program/
4. TUDIAS Dresden Foundation Program
https://www.tudias.de/en/

🛤 Next Steps for You

No matter where you’re starting from — you are capable.
This is your chance. Free. Bold. Purposeful.
Let’s open doors for the dreamers who dare to prepare.

🌍 GERMANY STUDY VISA: THE POWER OF RESPONSIBILITY & PREPARATION 🇩🇪

"The universe doesn’t reward potential — it rewards preparation."

To come to Germany as an international student, you need more than just dreams. You need proof that you’re ready, reliable, and able to stand on your own — at least financially.
That’s why the German government requires one of the following two financial proofs:

💼 1. Verpflichtungserklärung – A Letter of Commitment
A Verpflichtungserklärung is a formal declaration made by someone (usually in Germany) who guarantees to financially support your stay. It’s like someone saying to the German state:
🗣️ “I will take care of them. They are not alone.”
🔐 It must be:
--> Notarized at the Ausländerbehörde (Foreigner’s Office)
--> From someone with sufficient income and legal residence in Germany
👉 This is trust at its highest level — and Germany honors that responsibility deeply. It’s not just about money. It’s about standing for someone’s future.

“To support someone is not just to help them survive — it’s to say: I believe in your future so deeply, I’m willing to carry part of its weight.”

🏦 2. Blocked Bank Account (Sperrkonto)
If you don’t have a sponsor, the second path is opening a blocked account in a German-approved bank.
You must deposit at least €11,208 (as of 2024) — enough to cover your first year of living expenses.
💡 Why blocked? Because:
You can only withdraw around €934/month
It ensures you have the bare minimum to live independently
It shows Germany that you’ve thought ahead, and aren’t putting yourself or the system at risk
📌 Providers: Fintiba, Expatrio, Coracle

Why Does This Matter?
Because Germany is not just giving you access to a degree — they’re giving you access to a life.
They’re saying:
“If you want to join this community, first show that you are prepared. Not perfect — just responsible.”

And that’s beautiful. Because responsibility is the first step of freedom.
It’s how you tell the world:
💬 “I’m ready. I will not be a burden. I will rise on my own.”

“The weight you carry now — the paperwork, the account setup, the financial stress — is the weight that strengthens your wings.”
“Every border you cross started with one signature. One bank transfer. One document. One moment when you said: I am going.”

🛤 Keep Going, Dreamer.
This is hard, but so are you.
You’re not just applying to study — you are designing your life.
And Germany? That’s just one stop on a bigger journey.
You’re not alone. We're with you.
@togetherbeyondboundaries | @urinboev14
Let’s build this future together — one purpose, one step, one soul at a time.

If you are considering a good Korean University to apply or probably you've already applied to a bunch but thinking about applying to one more? I have some good news for you. 🫵

Spoiler alert: If your major is related to Aerospace Engineering, Aviation, or Logistics, this uni might be the fit! 💪

First and foremost, I gotta mention that the world ranking of this uni is in between 1001-1200. Yet, it actually ranks 77 globally for Aviation 🛩 (# 1 in Korea)*.

I looked up it's application guide and the schedule.
🗓 For Fall 2025 (3rd round):
July 07 (Mon) 2025 - July 18 (Fri) 2025, 17:00 (KST)

Here are the majors (English track):
School of Global Aviation Studies:
1. Service Management Major

2. Air Transportation and Logistics Major
🚢🚚
3. Aviation Management Major
✈️😈

Obviously, some scholarships (English track):
IELTS 7.0+ = 100% (full-tuition for one semester)**
IELTS 6.5+ = 50% scholarship
IELTS 6.0+ = 20% scholarship

Application Fee: 90,000 KRW (~$65)

Wait, did I say the university name?
It's Korea Aerospace University! 🇰🇷

* - source.
** - If you can get full-tuition even for one semester, you can easily maintain it for the rest of the semesters; you only need to maintain GPA of 2.9 (out 4.0) - which I think is not impossible.

BTW, need help with applying? Hit me up 😠
