You may think that this is undeserved but this is for 27 years of ignorance, 99 nominations and 34 total Grammy awards before even having a chance to win Album of The Year. This is for self-titled (which basically changed the day when music is even released, becoming the fastest album to hit 1 million digital sales. Your favourite artist releases music on friday because of Beyonce. Your favourite artist surprise-drops because of Beyonce), this if for Lemonade (best-selling album of 2016, the most critically acclaimed album of the century), this is for Renaissance (that simply deserved AOTY). Them white people do not want her to succeed enough. They do give her awards saying you are good, but not enough. You are great but not the greatest. Sorry, this lady is named The Greatest Popstar of 21st century for a reason. This lady is named the greatest vocalist of this century for a reason. This lady is named the greatest performer of this century for a reason. Just give her this award already. She stayed relevant for nearly 30 years. None of her peers, none, are in the game and still big. Since her debut in 1997 till 2025 - name anyone who is still performing, doing numbers, winning awards and vocally capable of pulling notes that she does while dancing and jumping off and on the stage at 43, when knees of some don't bend.

Yes, she may be possessed by 'AOTY winner title'. Yes, you may think Billie was robbed, yet she enjoyed to be the AOTY winner before Beyonce and she holds more general wins for 10 years of her career than Beyonce did . You may think Ariana was robbed. But Beyonce was robbed for 30 years. For 30 years of amazing performance. And this is how she played the game.

Recording Academy (issuer of Grammy Awards) has 13 thousand voters, each of them designated for their own category. If you are a hip-hop professional-voter, you vote in hip-hop category and can never vote for pop or dance. The same category applies for every nomination. The Big Four - however - has different rules. Record of The Year, Song of The Year, Best New Artist of The Year and Album of The Year are determined based on votes of every 13 thousand voter; there is no genre limitation, no alignment - every voter votes for those 4 awards. This year's case was beneficial for Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar. Because, this year was BIG for POP. Out of 8 nominees for album of the year, 5 were pop albums (Brat, Short n' Sweet, Hit me hard and soft, Midwest Princess and The Tortured Poets Department) and 2 lame-ah albums and 1 country album - Cowboy Carter. This was a big year for pop that actually made it difficult for them to win. Pop category voters had tendency to vote for pop albums still and they were now divided into 5 different pools to choose from while country voters had one job - to vote for Beyonce. Beyonce, herself, was more surprised to win Best Country Album Award than the biggest of the night. Because the moment she knew she won this category, nobody could stop her in the general field. Smart, political and uncanny move - but slap in the face for everyone who neglected her for 30 years.

The album was still good in my opinion. It did not produce hits, it did target quality and critical acclaim that it successfully accomplished. It proved them white men that black woman can do country. (Btw, she was the first black woman to win AOTY in 26 years and the first black woman ever to win Best Country Album). She extended her own record of the winningest artist in history of Grammy Awards, securing 35 Gramophones.

Please, don't misinterpret feminism with pure insanity and hypocrisy. Please, don't.

I hate to hear that feminism is bad. Fighting for rights that were stripped away from them is bad? Fighting for equal opportunities is bad? Doing what's against alfa-male stereotypes is bad?
I do understand from where the hate stems from - from random "feminists" on TikTok, who scream and yell at everyone who never agrees with the insanity they offer and talk about. It is always 1% whose voices are heard by 99% of people. Voices of those who work hard, who run businesses and change the society are never even considered, or maybe they do not even disclose their opinions because they are doing the work instead of cursing the entire genealogy of the male population. This is feminism for me. This is pure feminism. Male-hating is not feminism. Male-fighting and screaming and never taking into account different perspectives and calling out those who may think differently (and be right about the matter) is not feminism. Working hard for the future of women, for their rights, for their equality is feminism.

The misunderstanding is what led everyone into abyss of total hatred, name-calling and anguish. I heard many male friends to call out "girls only" programs as discriminatory, limiting the opportunities of men. Yes, to some extent, I do agree. But we should also agree that if this chance is not given to them, it will never be given. Never. One person used to mention that girls, if offered competition from boys in their "girls only" programs, will be never able to outcompete them. Exactly. For now (still, to some extent). But who set the system up that it is so rigged right now? Who caused millions of women to sit at home, doing nothing but to cook dinner? Men. Men for centuries (not all of them but the predominantly patriarchal society and its methods of ruling, to be exact) limited rights of women. Men for centuries limited their right for equal educational and social opportunities. Men for centuries said what is right and wrong for a woman and still are doing it. Those are not morals if it is simply a misogyny and baseless hate. This is hate and resentment. And now you expect them to participate in a drawing competition after taking away every pencil forcefully. Please, do not do so. And, please, never think of feminists as if they are hypocrites and wrongdoers. Please, just stop listening to TikTok rant and touch some grass and look into the world to see who is a real definition of feminist before even making final conclusions. They fight for equal rights, not for females-only rights.
