Edit: pushed a fix for a crash on <= Android 10. Just re-download and re-install version 0.6

☝️🤓 Today’s tip for Better xCloud

If you want to save battery life & gain some performance try to turn on this Disable xCloud analytics setting.

It will disable some stat collecting tasks running periodically in the background. It also reduces a tiny bit of input lag while playing. You’ll won’t be able to notice it, but it really helps in the long term.

My laptop is broken at the moment and I won't be able to work for a few days.

Hoping the xCloud website doesn't update anything that could break Better xCloud during that time.

Which game(s) should I play during that time? Just finished the first playthrough of The Quarry.

You can now test the official Mouse & Keyboard support feature on the xCloud website (also PC Xbox app and Xbox consoles): https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2024/03/26/xbox-insider-release-notes-beta-2404-240321-2000/

Click on profile picture > Settings > Enable "Preview features" > Refresh page.
Switch browser to fullscreen mode when playing to activate MKB.

Of course this feature is only available for desktop browsers.

If you use No VPN userscript with Better xCloud 3.4.0, make sure to have it updated. If not you may have problems when enabling the Remote Play feature.

Anyone here using Better xCloud app with Fire TV Stick 4K Max 2023?

I’m looking for a TV Stick that is cheap and powerful enough to run the Better xCloud app.

Sneak peek: soon you’ll able to switch to a different WebView implementations.
This will solve the problem where Better xCloud doesn’t support the current System WebView.

- This feature allows you to switch to another WebView.
- It may also give you better performance when using other WebView (like Chrome).
- Use it if your device’s WebView isn’t supported by Better xCloud app in the previous versions.

This code has been added to the xCloud website today.

I *think* soon you’ll be able to join your friend’s session and play local co-op games with them. Similar to Steam Remote Play Together (https://store.steampowered.com/remoteplay/#together).

There is another possibility: they are developing a controller that connects directly to the xCloud server (similar to Stadia controller). I think it was mentioned in the leak.

There is a new experimental feature that *may* fix the laggy audio problem. Just install the dev script and enable it in the script's Settings.
