xCloud implemented a feature where the stream quality will be dropped from 1080p to 720p when the decode time is too high. If you're having this problem, try this fix: https://github.com/redphx/better-xcloud/issues/791#issuecomment-3315440931

Add new "Prevent resolution drops" setting to prevent the stream from dropping to 720p.
Don't use it if you don't have that problem.

There are no updates to Better xCloud recently because the xCloud website is getting a new layout and I'm waiting for it. Let's hope it doesn't break Bx entirely.

Don't worry, the project is not dead. I still use Bx daily and I think it's mature enough.

Better xCloud doesn't work. I need time to check this version. Use the old version if you want to use Bx.

The new xCloud website uses a different web-stack so I need to come up with different methods to implement Better xCloud features. I can bring some features to the new version, but other than that I'll need to rewrite entirely. Some advanced features won't work (i.e 2-player co-op), and it may requires an additional web extension from Better xCloud. Not sure about the Android version yet.

This will take a lot of time & work.

Those are my first impressions. I'll share more info later when I begin working on it.

Apparently Bx stopped working after the xCloud website had an update. I'll check it in ~12 hours.

Fixed the script stopped working.
For Android app: you'll need to update the script manually in the Settings, or clear the app cache, or reinstall.

Literally at the airport right now. If it still doesn't work, wait for a few hours more.

Good news: So far I think it's possible to bring most (if not all) Better xCloud's features to the play.xbox.com website without having to install an extra extension. So the installation process will be the same: you'll only need to install the script inside Tampermonkey (same for the Android app).

Another good news is that both old and new xCloud websites share the same code in some features -> I can reuse Bx code.

But don't expect it to be ready for testing anytime soon. There are a lot of things needs to be done first. It makes me realized that the Bx script is huge and I don't know how I managed to code all of these 😄️️️️️️
