*Day 1: Sacrificial Love*

_“Don’t copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”_ Romans 12:2, NLT

Lent is known as a season of sacrifice. It is about getting closer to God and in turn bringing others closer to God regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey. It is not just sacrifice for sacrifice’s sake but a humble service to others in love.

This is what Jesus did. And He is calling us to offer ourselves sacrificially, in love and service to Him and others. It is only when we enter into the lives of others, with no agenda then simply to love, that we receive a permission slip to share our story and the story in which we represent.

_Pray:_
Jesus, I thank you for your sacrificial love for me. Help me to change the way I think. Transform my life. I want to grow closer to you. I want to sacrifice my life to love and serve others. Amen.
