Head of the National Center for Seismology, Dr. Raed Ahmed:

- In only two days, the stations of the National Monitoring Network recorded 175 tremors, within the area of ​​(#Turkey and the #Syrian-Turkish borders), the highest intensity of which was on February 9, by 4,5 degrees on the Richter scale.

- We have to work to develop the engineering code for the buildings in light of the results of the analysis of the recordings of this earthquake.

- Dozens of tremors were recorded within the Syrian territory, but all of them had a magnitude between 2.4 and 4 degrees on the Richter scale, and they are within a normal status and have a low seismic impact.

Tremors with magnitudes higher than 2.1 recorded at the stations of the National Monitoring Network and other networks since the beginning of the seismic storm on February 6 until now has reached 3032 tremors distributed among the fault systems as follows:

- 38 tremor hit the Dead Sea fault, ranging in magnitudes from 2.5 to 4.4.
- 209 tremor hit the Cypriot Arc fault, ranging in magnitudes from 2.1 to 6.3.
- 2785 tremor hit the eastern Anatolia fault, with magnitudes ranging between 2.5 and 7.8.
