1、 Core formula (100g total amount)
① 1. Matrix components (75-80g): determine texture and setting
Oil and Fat (50-55g)
Function: Dissolve/disperse dragon's blood, provide moisturizing sensation and extensibility
Castor oil: 30g (high viscosity, helps stabilize Dragon's Blood particles, enhances color uniformity)
Jojoba oil: 10g (highly skin friendly, antioxidant, reduces the possible dryness of dragon's blood)
Olive oil (or sweet almond oil): 10-15g (enhances moisture and neutralizes the heaviness of wax)
Wax (25-25g)
Function: Set and adjust hardness, prevent the precipitation of dragon's blood pigment
Beeswax: 15g (moderate hardness, gentle and skin friendly, good compatibility with oils and fats)
Brazilian Palm Wax: 5g (raising melting point to 60-65 ℃ to avoid high-temperature melting and increase lipstick hardness)
Small candle tree wax: 5g (assists in shaping, improves the "wax feeling" when applied, making the texture smoother)
② 2. Coloring and functional ingredients (15-20g)
Dragon's Blood (10-12g)
Core coloring agents and functional ingredients: Pre treatment is required (grind dragon's blood into a fine powder of 800 mesh or above, or soak in a small amount of alcohol for 24 hours to make an extract, filter and mix with oil to avoid graininess). The color is a reddish brown base, and the depth can be adjusted according to the amount added (the amount added tends to be darker brown, and the amount reduced tends to be reddish brown).
Auxiliary coloring agent (optional, 3-5g)
If you need to adjust the color tone:
Natural iron oxide red (1-2g): increases red saturation and weakens brown tone
Natural purple pigment (0.5-1g): adds a purple tone, suitable for retro berry color

③ Auxiliary components (3-5g)
Antioxidant: Vitamin E (1g, prevents oil and dragon blood from oxidizing and deteriorating, extends shelf life)
Preservative: Phenoxyethanol (0.5g, natural ingredient prone to microbial growth, low dosage added to ensure safety)
Essence (optional): sweet orange essential oil or rose essential oil (1-2g, covering the slight resin smell of Dragon's Blood, improving the sense of use)

2、 Production steps
Pre treated Dragon's Blood:
Take dragon's blood powder, add 5g castor oil, stir into a paste, let it stand for 1 hour to fully swell (if using extraction solution, evaporate the alcohol in advance until there is no residue).
Melting matrix:
Mix the remaining oils (castor oil, jojoba oil, etc.) with all waxes, heat them over water (temperature controlled at 70-75 ℃ to avoid damaging the active ingredients of dragon's blood), and stir until completely melted.
Mixed coloring agents:
When the substrate temperature drops to 60 ℃, add the pre treated dragon's blood paste (or extract) and auxiliary coloring agent, stir quickly for 5-10 minutes until evenly dispersed (to avoid bubble formation).
Add auxiliary ingredients:
When the temperature drops to 50 ℃, add vitamin E, preservative and essence, and mix well.
Filling and shaping:
Quickly pour the mixture into the disinfected lipstick mold, let it stand for 30 minutes to cool and solidify. After demolding, it can be used.

3、 Precautions
Color adjustment: Dragon's blood has moderate coloring power. If you pursue high color rendering, you can reduce the proportion of oil (increase wax to 30g), or pair it with 1-2g synthetic red color powder (such as D&C Red 7), but pay attention to compliance.
Skin test: Although dragon's blood is mild, some people may be sensitive to resin components. It is recommended to do an ear test first.
