*DES303 UPDATE*
🟩 Here’s a quick recap of last week's key takeaways:
✅ DES 303 is compulsory for all 300-level students—even if you're now in 400 level and didn’t complete it previously.
✅ It is a zero-credit course, but a graduation requirement.
✅ The course combines *theoretical learning and practical application*, culminating in a community-based project.
✅ You may work individually or in a group—there is no fixed limit to group size. What matters is collaboration, clarity of roles, and proper documentation.
✅ You will receive templates for your project proposal, Iogbook, and final reflection report to guide your practicum.
✅ There is no written exam. Your grading will be based on class assignments and active participation in the discussion forum and final reflection (project) report.
✅ To participate in the forum, you must log into the NOUN e-learn platform and engage meaningfully with peers and facilitators.
✅ An optional Certificate in Community Development is available for ₦7,500 per student.
✅ Our first live class was held on Tuesday, 15 April 2025
✅ There are currently only three official WhatsApp groups (Groups 1–3) to support coordination. For any further assistance, centre-based support will be provided through Study Centres.
✅ We are currently reviewing alternative platforms to accommodate higher participant limits. However, all registered students will continue to receive the Zoom link, updates, templates, and guidance via email, and are expected to stay active in the WhatsApp group for coordination and support.
✅ Sharing of illegal or suspicious links in the group is strictly prohibited. Please report any inappropriate activity to an admin immediately.
✅ In the end, this course is about becoming more responsible, responsive, and resourceful citizens, building communities that reflect the very best in us starting today.
Thank you once again. I will send an update on the next class
