After an internal referendum to which over 5.000 PSD delegates participated, 97% of the social democrat representatives were in favour of leaving the government coalition. The new coalition (which is expected to fall depending on how cards are played) dropped to 41% of MPs from 67%.

PSD will have to choose between the 2 following scenarios:

🔸 Seeking support from AUR and use PNL or the other smaller right-wing groups (POT-SOS-PACE) to form a government.

🔸Refusing to "govern with extremists" as Sorin Grindeanu has mentioned multiple times in the past and just stay in opposition, but threaten to ally with them unless the new PNL-USR-UDMR government fulfills some of PSD's demands.
