Tuesday on Wurrundjuri Wooiworrung and Boonwurrung country a group of activists in solidarity with Palestine blocked a freight train with the aim to stop railway traffic.
The train was heading out of the port of Melbourne when the group stopped it and painted the wind shield red.
This is a part of an internationally coordinated economic blockade to free Palestine. Actions will continue until Australia ends its support of Israel's genocide in Gaza and the West Bank.

Early this morning a group of Naarm activists painted the day's first train into the city with messages of support for the Palestinian libratory struggle.
The Zionist regime has always relied upon the systematic slaughter and dispossession of the Palestinian people, and the erasure of their culture. This genocide began in May 1948 and is known as the Nakba or 'catastrophe.
The Australian state supports the expansion of the Zionist regime by supplying weapons, intelligence, strategic aid, and political legitimacy to the state of Israel and is therefore complicit in this ongoing genocide.
All struggles for freedom from oppression are connected. So long as colonial empires continue their domination of land and peoples, people with love for the land and each other will fight back.
Action taken on unceded Woiwurrung land by Jewish and non-Jewish community members. Intifada more than ever!

In Nipaluna/Hobart the colonial statue of William Crowther, who stole the skull of the Aboriginal man William Lane in 1869, has been sawn off at the ankles and toppled. The following video was shared anonymously with the following statement:
On the lands where one of the truest and most brutal attempted genocides was committed against the Tasmanian aboriginal people, it is unfathomable that the colony would continue to celebrate racist butchers like Crowther whilst continuing to sweep it's ongoing colonisation under the rug. We can't erase history, but we can tear down the horrible colonialists who have disgraced it until we wake up to the reality of colonisation on this continent.

Pro Palestine activists protest at the Deputy Premier, Ben Carrol's, office in the Victorian government's parliamentary and treasury office building in Treasury Place.
While MP Natalie Hutchins was hosting a weapons expo in Collins St., activists took the protest to Deputy Premier, Ben Carroll's, office building to demand that the Victorian government cancel its Memorandum of Understanding with the Israeli Ministry of Defence.
They also demanded that the VIC government cancel all contracts with Israeli weapons company and war profiteers, Elbit Systems. Ben Carroll recently returned from a junket trip to Israel where he further cemented the Victorian government's complicity in Israel's genocidal war against the people of the occupied territories of Palestine.
The Victorian government is courting weapons company investment when it should be investing in Victorian manufacturing for climate solutions and public transport, not in tooling up for the war machine of death and destruction.
