Aunty Alison, Gumbaynggirr Elder and Blicks River Guardians are calling out for supporters and concerned locals to stand in the way of Forestry Corps planned destruction of Clouds Creek SF.
With the continuous destruction of local forests, and laws and policies not looking like changing anytime soon we see more communities taking direct action to stop these giant logging machines.
This forest was burnt in the black summer fires and due to the height of the canopy, the big hollow bearing trees survived and are now refuge for endangered Greater Gliders.
Citizen science surveys done in the last 2 months have confirmed that there are many Endangered Greater Gliders remaining in this forest.
The number of people getting ready to take action in Clouds Creek is now growing weekly.
Get in touch with Blicks River Guardians to join the vigils happening every weekday at Clouds.

At tonight's Mardi Gras, a group of trans and queer activists intervened in the parade to protest the Labour Party and their complicity in the ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. As the Labour Party float passed by at Taylor Square, they held banners that read "QUEER SOLIDARITY WITH PALESTINIAN RESISTANCE"
and released green, red, white
and black smoke effects.
NSW Police arrested 9 protestors. Protestors endured physical violence from the police and have sustained injuries.
Police and media reports are alleging that protestors released flares, which are illegal in NSW. But this is not true. Protestors released smoke effects which are legal in NSW, and are regularly used at events such as weddings, gender reveals, parties, and protest marches.
