Senate approves bill that would ban PFAS from menstrual and cosmetic products, textiles and turf fields
The bill is part of an effort to remove the toxic chemicals from the waste stream before they enter the state’s waterways, where it’s harder to remove.
"A new study out of Australia recommends #firefighters regularly donate blood or plasma to help lower the amount of PFAS in their bodies.
While it may be beneficial for the firefighters, a University of Michigan professor says it highlights a potential threat to the rest of the population."
