Ç The Maldives Meteorological Service has issued a weather advisory stating that the active southwest monsoon over the Maldives is expected to strengthen over the next three days, from 18 to 20 May. During this period, heavy rainfall and thunderstorms are anticipated across the country, accompanied by strong winds and rough sea conditions, particularly affecting the central and northern atolls.

Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, operated flight to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia today on the Airbus A330, marking the beginning of this year's Hajj pilgrimage. The flight carried the first group of pilgrims on their journey.
According to reports Israel has carried out an aerial attack on Sanaa International Airport, destroying the last remaining civilian aircraft operated by Yemenia Airways. The airport, Yemen's largest, had only recently resumed operations following temporary repairs and runway restoration after previous Israeli strikes.
Maldivians newest ATR 42-600 being prepared for a test flight in Toulouse, France. The aircraft will join the airlines fleet in June.
