*SAYYIDUL ISTIGHFAR*

On the authority of Shaddad ibn Aws, رضي الله عنه , the Prophet ﷺ said,

“The chief of prayers for forgiveness is: [Sayyidul Istighfar]

Allahumma anta rabbee la ilaha illa anta, khalaqtanee wa-ana ‘abduka, wa-ana ‘alaa ‘ahdika wawa’dika mas-tata’tu, a’oothu bika min sharri ma sana’tu, aboo-o laka bini’matika ‘alaya, wa-aboo-o bi thambee, faghfir lee, fa-innahu la yaghfiruth-thunooba illa anta.

‘O Allah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshiped except You, You created me and I am Your servant and I abide to Your covenant and promise [to honor it] as best I can, I take refuge in You from the evil of which I committed. I acknowledge Your favor upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for verily none can forgive sins except You.’

The Prophet ﷺ added,
“If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it and dies before the morning he will be from the people of Paradise.”
[Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 8, Book 75, Number 318]
Dua When One Is Distressed

Allāhumma raḥmataka arjū fa-lā takilnī ilā nafsī ṭarfata ʿayn, wa aṣliḥ lī sha’nī kullah, lā ilāha illā Ant.

O Allah! It is certainly Your Mercy what I hope for, so do not entrust me to myself for the blink of an eye; and rectify all of my affairs. There is no god worthy of worship except You.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The supplications of the distressed person are [the above].”
(Abū Dāwūd 5090)
Al Faatiha, the Surah we recite in every rak'ah at least 17 times daily, without which prayer is invalid, the Surah known as Ummul Qur'aan (mother of the Qur'aan).

The main reason this Surah is important is because its all about Tawheed. It containts Tawheed Ar Ruboobiyyah- singling out Allah Subhaana wa ta'aala as the Only Lord, Al Uloohiyyah - worshipping Him alone & asking only Him for help & Asma wa Sifaat - believing & affirming His Names & Attributes.

Did u know that when u recite Al Fatiha in ur prayer Allah Subhaana wa ta'aala responds to every verse? This is why u should PAUSE after every verse.

Many of us recite Al Fatiha very fast without paying attention to it rules of tajweed or ponder over its meaning...pls recite slowly & read its Tafsir..

The BEST Conversation In The World!

Allaah states in a Hadeeth al-Qudsi about Surah al-Faatihah:

“I have divided the prayer between Myself and My servant, into two halves, and My servant shall have what he has asked for.

When the servant says: “(All) praise is (due) to Allaah, Lord of the worlds,”

Allaah says: “My servant has praised Me.”

When the servant says: “The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,”

Allaah says: “My servant has extolled me.”

When the servant says: “Sovereign of the Day of Recompense,”

Allaah says: “My servant has glorified me.”

When the servant says: “It is You we worship and You we ask for help,”

Allaah says: “This is between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he asked for.”

When the servant says: “Guide us to the straight path – the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked (Your) anger or of those who are astray.”

Allaah says: “All these are for My servant, and My servant shall have what he asked for.”

[Reported by Muslim, Maalik, at-Tirmidhee, Abu Daawood, an-Nasaaee and Ibn Maajah]
Dear brothers and sisters,

I sincerely remind myself and all of you to always have good thoughts (ḥusn al-ẓann) about Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Never let hopelessness settle in your heart—because the One who created that heart is more merciful to you than you are to yourself.

If you feel like your du‘ā hasn’t been answered, remember:
Allah never breaks His promises.

Once you’ve fulfilled the conditions of du‘ā—your income is ḥalāl, you aren’t asking for anything impermissible, and you’ve asked with the etiquette taught by our beloved Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ—then rest assured. Internalize this powerful formula:

Allah responds to every sincere caller in one of three ways:

1. He quickly fulfills the request.
2. He stores the reward for you in the Hereafter.
3. He diverts a calamity of equal weight away from you.

So dear readers, hold on tightly to your good expectations of Allah. He is Al-Wadūd (the Most Loving), Al-Raḥmān, Al-Raḥīm.
He sees your tears, hears your silent pleas, and knows your pain better than anyone else.
Before falling into despair, remind your heart:

“Allah knows what is best for me, and when it is best.”

Once you experience the serenity that comes from trusting Allah, you’ll stop saying, “Why wasn’t my du‘ā answered?” because you’ll understand it was.

I advise myself and all of you to find new, positive perspectives in moments of delay.
Let every disappointment build a bridge to stronger hope, and every moment of waiting become a step closer to obedience and love for Allah.
Strive to increase your worship and follow the Sunnah of the most noble man to walk this earth—our Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ.

Be consistent in making duʿā — no matter what happens. Seize the hours of acceptance with full īmān. These moments are gifts; take them seriously and turn to Allah with complete trust in His wisdom.

I ask Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala to forgive our shortcomings, to guide us to the straight path, and to help us perform righteous actions that please Him.
May He give us control over ourselves in times of emotional peaks, and protect our faith in moments of weakness.
Aameen.

The Meanings of Hopelessness and Despair

Allah says in surah al-Fussilat:

لَا يَسْأَمُ الْإِنْسَانُ مِنْ دُعَاءِ الْخَيْرِ وَإِنْ مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ فَيَئُوسٌ قَنُوطٌ

“Man does not get tired of praying for good, but if an evil touches him, then he gives up all hope and is in despair. ” [41:49]

In part of his commentary on this ayah, Imam al-Qurtubi wrote:

وإن مسه الشر الفقر والمرض فيئوس من روح الله قنوط من رحمته . وقيل : يئوس من إجابة الدعاء قنوط بسوء الظن بربه . وقيل : يئوس أي : يئس من زوال ما به من المكروه ” قنوط ” أي : يظن أنه يدوم ، والمعنى متقارب . ـ

If the harm of poverty or illness touches him, then he gives up hope of relief from Allah and despairs of His mercy.

And some explained this to mean: he gives up hope on a response to his supplications, and is in despair by thinking negative thoughts about his Lord.

And some have explained it: “he gives up hope” – meaning he gives up hope of this disliked thing going away, and “is in despair” – meaning he thinks that it will last forever.

And all of these are close in meaning.

Dear brothers and sisters,

Ibn Hajar رحمه الله said:
"A Friday that occurs in the ten days of Dhul Hijjah is more distinguished than any other Friday of the year."
Fath al-Bārī, 969

This is a blessed time. An hour when duas are accepted. Turn to Allah. Ask all your needs to Him with sincerity. Cry to Him. He hears and responds.

And don’t forget our brothers and sisters in Palestine, Sudan, Congo, Yemen, Syria, East Turkestan (Uyghur), Kashmir, and wherever Muslims are oppressed.

Pray for their relief, strength, and victory. Don’t let this moment pass without calling upon Allah.

Allāhumma anji-l-mustad afina mina-I-mu'minin.

O Allah! Save the weak among the believers. (Bukhārī 3386)

Dearest phrases to Allah are four

Glory is to Allah (Subhān Allāh) [and] all praise is due to Allah (Al-hamdulillāh) and 'none has the right to be worshipped but Allah' (Lā ilāha illallāh), and Allah is the greatest (Allāhu Akbar).

Reference:

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said "The dearest phrases to Allah are four: Subhan Allah (Hallowed be Allah), Al-Hamdulillah (Praise be to Allah), La ilaha illa-Allah (There is no deity but Allah), Allahu Akbar (Allah is Greater). There is no harm for you in which of them begin with (while remembering Allah). And do not give these names to your servants: Yasar and Rabah and Najih and Aflah.
