Dua against the Enemy

O Allah, Revealer of the Book, swift in (taking) account, put the tribes to rout. O Lord, defeat them and shake them.

Reference: Sahih Muslim 1742b
It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Abu Aufa that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) cursed the tribes (who had marched upon Medina with a combined force in 5 H) and said:
اللَّهُمَّ مُنْزِلَ الْكِتَابِ سَرِيعَ الْحِسَابِ اهْزِمِ الأَحْزَابَ اللَّهُمَّ اهْزِمْهُمْ وَزَلْزِلْهُمْ
O Allah, Revealer of the Book, swift in (taking) account, put the tribes to rout. O Lord, defeat them and shake them.

Reference: Sahih Muslim 1742b

O believers, the cries from Palestine, Sudan, Congo, Syria, Lebanon, and beyond continue to rise, day after day.

➡️Children are buried beneath rubble.
➡️Women are widowed before their eyes have dried from the last loss.
➡️Elderly parents say goodbye to their entire households.
And yet… they hold onto Lā ilāha illallāh, even in their final breath.

The world remains silent, but our hearts should not.

Let us also raise our hands, as the Prophet ﷺ did. Let us turn to Allah Subḥānahu wa Taʿālā, who hears the silent tear and answers the whispered cry.

Ya Allah,
Destroy the oppressors who exceed all bounds and transgress Your limits.
Uphold justice upon this Earth, as You promised.
Grant sabr to the grieving, cure to the wounded, and security to those who fear.
Replace their hunger with provision, their fear with safety, their sorrow with peace.
You are Ar-Raḥmān, we ask not for much, just a drop from Your Mercy.

➡️O Ummah,
-Do not scroll past the pain.
-Do not let your dua fall silent.
-This supplication is our shield, our strength, and our hope.
-Revive the dua of your Prophet ﷺ.
-Let it rise from your heart with sincerity.
-Let it shake the heavens with your hope in your Rabb.

➡️May Allah Subḥānahu wa Taʿālā accept our prayers, grant victory to the oppressed, and count us among those who stood in sincerity when the world looked away, Aameen.
JUST ASK FOR FORGIVENESS.

A man complained to Hasan al-Basri (rahimahullah d. 110 AH) about a drought.

So he said to him: Pray to Allaah for forgiveness.

Another man complained to him of poverty.

So he said to him: Pray to Allaah to forgive you.

Another man said to him: Pray to Allaah to bless me with a child.

He said: Pray to Allaah for forgiveness.

Another complained to him that his garden was dry.

He said to him: Pray to Allaah for forgiveness.

We asked him about that and he said: This is not my personal opinion.

For Allaah says:

"I [Prophet Nooh (alaihumus salam) said (to them): 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; Verily, He is Oft-Forgiving. (Al Qurʾān 71:10)

He’ll send rain to you in abundance.

And give you increase in wealth and children,
and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers.

[Surah Nuh (v. 10-12).Source: Tafsir al-Qurtubi (v. 18, pp. 301-302)].

Aban bin Uthman said:
“I heard
Uthman bin Affan (رضي الله عنه) saying: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There is no worshiper who says, in the morning of every day, and the evening of every night:
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لاَ يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلاَ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

In the Name of Allah, who with His Name, nothing in the earth or the heavens can cause harm, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

Bismillāh, alladhi lā yaḍurru ma
a ismihi shai'un fil-arḍi wa lā fis-samā', wa huwas-Samīul Alīm)’ – three times , (except that) nothing shall harm him.”

And Aban had been stricken with a type of semi-paralysis, so a man began to look at him, so Aban said to him, “What are you looking at? Indeed the Hadith is as I reported it to you, but I did not say it one day, so Allah brought about His decree upon me.”

Umar ibn al-Khattab used to pray as much as Allah willed in the night until at the end of the night he would wake his family for the prayer. He used to say to them,

"The prayer, the prayer." Then he would recite the ayat,

"Enjoin prayer on your family and be constant in it. We do not ask you for your provision. We provide for you. And the end result is for taqwa" (Sura 20 ayat 132) [Muwatta Malik » Tahajjud, Hadith 5]

Dua for Protection from Enemies & Harm

Transliteration:
Fa-Allāhu khayrun ḥāfizan wa huwa arhamu ar-rāhimīn

Translation:
But 'only' Allah is the best Protector, and He is the Most Merciful of the merciful

Reference: Surah Yusuf (12:64)
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

"No Muslim is afflicted with a calamity and says what Allah has commanded him to say:

'Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un, Allahumma'jurni fi musibati wa akhlif li khayran minha'

(Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we shall return. O Allah, reward me in my affliction and replace it with something better)

except that Allah will reward him for it and grant him something better in return."

(Sahih Muslim 918, Sahih al-Bukhari 1283)

Umm Salamah reported:

I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, "When a person suffers from a calamity and utters:

{إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ} اللَّهُمَّ أْجُرْنِي في مُصِيبَتِي، وأَخْلِفْ لي خَيْرًا مِنْها •

'Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un. Allahumma ujurni fi musibati, wakhluf li khairan minha

(We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return. O Allah! Compensate me in my affliction, recompense my loss and give me something better in exchange for it),

then Allah surely compensates him with reward and better substitute."

Umm Salamah said: When Abu Salamah died, I repeated the same supplication as the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had commanded me (to do).

So Allah bestowed upon me a better substitute than him (I was married to Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)).

Riyad as-Salihin 921

And in another narration its mentioned by aisha,

"The Prophet's lantern went out, so he recited,

'Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.'

'Aishah remarked,

'It was only a lantern!'

The Prophet responded, 'Whatever causes discomfort to a believer is a calamity.'"

The narration you're referring to is recorded by Imam Abu Dawud in his work Al-Marāsīl.

This highlights that even a minor inconvenience, such as a lantern going out, is considered a "calamity," emphasizing that every hardship, no matter how small, holds significance in Allah's sight.

It reflects Allah's mercy and Him rewarding patience even in seemingly insignificant situations.
‎Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah

‎Whoever finds that he has shortcomings in his ibadah, sayings or actions, or that his sustenance has decreased, or that his heart is unsettled, then let him make istighfar (repentance to Allah).
