Anyone else feel like being ace isn't a big part of their life?
The way I see it, it's just the absence of something I've never known.

a random dude started talking to me on insta, and I was again naive enough to think that he wanted to be friends💀 I'm super sex-repulsed and don't like comments about my body...

I asked my sister, who experiences both romantic and sexual attraction, to describe them in paragraphs. Now I know I’m definitely aroace, I hope these can help someone else too!

Not asexual here.. but I really appreciate you lot.
I've kind of realised over the years that the world is just... obsessed with sex. Sex and/or finding the right romantic partner, it's all you ever see. I google "how to be a more caring friend" and the results are 50% "how to be a better lover". It just takes up so much of mainstream media.
Every ace/aromantic person I've met has just been so wonderful and caring on a different level. Like once you've taken out the 'obsession' that most people spend their lives chasing, you're more able to treat all kinds of people with an open heart.
Not sure what it is, but thank you for being who you are... and for reminding the world that there's more to life and more to love, than just romance and sex.
