People saying I'm not ace enough

I'm asexual and I do sex work, people seem to be bothered by this even though I've stated that I don't have any sexual attraction to the people I sell to/sleep with and that I simply do it for money. People have told me that I'm not asexual enough to tell people that I'm asexual because of me doing sex work and it just feels super invalidating.

Coming out as ace in a long term relationship?

I’m in a long term relationship (nearly 5 years) and have been thinking for a long time that I might be asexual. It all makes sense when I look back at how I’ve felt my whole life so I’m almost certain this is something I identify with.

Does anyone have any advice on coming out to a partner as asexual (or just coming out in general) after you are already in a long term relationship?

Thank you in advance!

Do you listen to sexual music as a form of performance? Like, Drag for sexuality?

What is with the influx of shows about women’s sex lives?

Obv sexually charged shows have always been a thing but I swear I saw like 3 ads for new shows all about young women’s sex lives in the same day. ‘Single drunk female’, ‘The sex lives of college girls’ ‘sex/life’. Like I get we’re trying to normalize women liking sex and embracing their sexuality but like,,calm down. Can’t relate or connect to any of it. I’d love to see a romcom about an asexual woman in a relationship or something like that.

Edit: In case anyone might be wondering, this isn’t a hate post. I’m not a fan of sexual themes in media but I don’t exactly hate them either. I’m very happy women expressing their sexuality as a normalized thing. I was just surprised to see several of the same kind of thing come out all at the same time is all.

hearing my dad say hurtful things about my orientation rn

hes in the other room, on the phone catching up with an old friend. its the ignorant things to say bingo. “she says now her choice is to become asexual..... no sex.... yeah she says its one of those queer things that they're making now, back in our day they just called it celebacy...”
