r/TrueOffMyChest users can't comprehend that asexuals exist

OP describes in this post that he regrets marrying his wife since they are sexually incompatible and the comments are trying to convince him that his wife either has a hormone imbalance, mental illness, or is cheating on him with another man.

Really upsetting to see that some people refuse to believe a person can be totally healthy but just doesn't want to have sex all the time.

I hate virgin used as an insult

Something that many allos don't seem to grasp is that not all virgins are incels. Everyone has their own reasons as to why they don't have sex, even beyond sex-repulsed people. I hate that your "social status" is defined by whether or not you have had sex. As if it's a bad thing or makes you a worse person if you're a virgin

I love cake, but don't like garlic bread? am I really asexual?

ok ok I know, please don't shoot me on the spot, I've identified with being asexual for a long time, and loved cake for even longer! However, I've always been overly sensitive to spices, herbs and GARLIC. I've tried to embrace it but the taste and smell is to overwhelming, though I do like the texture of bread in general. I cannot stand garlic. What does this mean?!

edit: ok for those of u haven't got it yet I was joking lol. but not about the garlic YUCK

Confused as to where exactly I am in the asexual spectrum.

I think I'm either greysexual or demisexual.

Most often, my attraction to someone is non-sexual — even if I am in a relationship with that person. I am most attracted to their personality and shared interests. Their physical traits, I can also find non-sexually attractive as well. I can find someone beautiful, but not feel an urge to have sex with them. However, not as often, I can find someone sexually attractive... but don't have an urge to have sex with them. This is true regardless if I am in a relationship with them or not.

In order for me to have sex with someone, I need to be dating them... but, of course, this also doesn't mean I'll only be wanting sex in the relationship from then on. Sex is barely at the front of my mind. For me to be willing to date someone, I need to have a deep, platonic relationship with that person as well.
