Its kinda disheartening opening this sub to see it flooded with "partner came out as ace and I can't handle it" posts

/mild rant

I understand they feel the need to get advice on the matter, but seeing it so often it's coming up every 5 or 6 posts is getting to be a bit much.

Many of us already struggle with feeling like we're burdens, not enough, too much work, etc. and having to see the same "I totally support them and their asexuality but I NEED sex and I'm not sure what to do" and them coming here trying to get reassurance polyamorism or "compromise sex" is okay instead of actually speaking to their partner and being honest.. They don't even feel comfortable just having a conversation with their so-called beloveds?

It's also just kinda sad to see these allosexuals all talking about how their insatiable lust and sex drive is possibly going to be the deal breaker in an otherwise amazing relationship. Maybe I just don't understand, maybe it's me missing out on this important piece of the puzzle, but come on, it can't be that necessary? It's just... body parts.

Kinda exestential question for any fellow aroaces

What's your plan to not be lonely when you're old and all your family is dead and you've lost your friends to age or drift? For romantics, I feel the obvious answer is their so, but that's not really something that'd interest us, is it?

Happy ace awareness week! I recently started watching β€˜the disastrous life of Saiki K’ on Netflix and was thrilled to find out he is aroace like myself. Here’s to more ace representation!

On the complete opposite side of this though: Ah, the plight of an asexual. Everyone always thinks I'm flirting with them

How do you guys date?

Anyone else is like "nah once they find out I'm asexual they're gonna loose interest anyways" so you don't even put yourself out there? 🀣

So a redditor on r/teenagers said this is a fitting place for this for some reason.
