You are valid and loved

The title says everything you need to know. You, the one reading this are in fact valid and you are loved, and I hope that even if things aren't going the best for you that this puts a little smile on your face, you deserve it!

Remember to drink water, eat food when you're hungry and to take your meds if you have them, have a wonderful day

I found them!

I was out playing Billard with my partner yesterday and I wore my Ace button like I normally do.
We arrived at the location, got the balls, got to the table and started playing. We had a table next to two girls, which was odd. Usually they leave a table unoccupied so there's further space because of corona safety.

For some reason my gaydar was telling me thise girls could be queer, but I didn't want to ask and come across as weird. But those girls made eye contact with me too and something was up.

Anyways, an hour into the game one girl approached me and asked:"Hey, are you Ace too?"
I just froze. I almost started to tear up and said "Yes, are you Ace?"

Well, to make this short I meet my first Ace person yesterday, we swapped phone numbers and will meet again tomorrow at a CSD festival with some other Aces!

She is in an Ace group that do meetings sometimes, I found this group too, but the admins were inactive, because well... Corona.

I just had to share this today! I'm so happy! I've been looking for other aces ever since I found out and now I finally have one in my area who understands me!

The Devil is a Part-Timer

Just rewatched this anime recently, and got some major ace vibes from Maou Sadao. For example, a repeated gag is a high schooler side character crushing on him, they get into a stereotypically romantic setting, and he misinterprets it as something completely nonsexual. At no point in the anime does he ever get embarrassed, much less from typical ecchi scenarios, and he is entirely goal-driven with no apparent desire to be with anyone. Any other (possible) aces in anime/media?

let's make a list of asexual youtubers :D (if you know any)

I only know two so far:

- Red from overly sarcastic productions (she said she is ace in a Q&A of some sorts?)
- Dapz (in a Q&A, https://youtu.be/JeZNtgdznF0?t=271)

How I realized I was asexual.

I had this huge crush on a girl when I just started college, so I did what guys usually do in this situation. I started sitting next to her, made conversations, tried to be nice and all that stuffs. The following semester, we actually became good friends. I fell even harder for her but despite all those efforts I realized she just didn't budge at all. I spent nights wondering what the hell was wrong with me as this had happened several times throughout my school life, not a single person I'd ever had a crush on ever liked me back. Feeling like such a loser, I put some space between us after that.

Months later I finally confronted her about it but then she explained that she never had any crushes and she didn't even know how it feels like to be in love. Confused and admittedly feeling a little bit weirded out, I actually blurted "wtf are you some kind of asexual being I don't get you". Yeah somehow I ironically self-coined the term before I knew it really existed. For a while I thought about what I said, why did the biological term sound somehow familiar to how she felt like as a person. It kept me awake at night so I just googled asexual on a whim and behold! I couldn't believe what I'd just found.

I learned about many genders and the split attraction model and it just clicked, I thought they were joking about the sex stuffs and I was the normal one. Needless to say I rushed to tell her and she was like yeah I guess that's me too. She also discovered she was aro and agender while I was demiro. Everything just made sense and I've secretly adopted that label ever since. It's been almost a decade and to this day she's still one of my best buddies, as well as the only other ace person I've ever met irl. I don't really have big crushes anymore after that and I still have some feelings for her but now it's turned into more like friendly love. I'm just glad I met her.
