Wow internet
I just saw a post that said that ace/aro people should not be included in the LGBT community because it is still possible for ace/aro people to oppress "actual" LGBT people, so they don't want to be in a community with their oppressors.
Ok sure, but there is already so much biphobia within the LGBT community. Bi people repeatedly get excluded from LGBT spaces because them being in a "straight" relationship makes them "not bi enough".
There's also transphobia and other hate within the community. People get excluded from non-binary spaces for not being "non-binary" enough.
Sometimes people in the community will oppress against other people in the same community. Why? Because some humans suck.
But the community still gives us the opportunity to find people who will support us.
Sure aro/ace people don't have the EXACT same struggles as gay or bi people, but we can still support each other. We can focus on our shared experiences instead of our differences. Aro/ace people have to come out too. Aro/ace people can also have parents who don't accept us for who we are. Aro/ace people also have to deal with religious reasons for why their "choice" is the wrong one.
I know that even if I don't share your identity, if you are LGBT, I will support you however I can. THAT is what the community is for.
So saying that aces/aros don't get oppressed enough to be included in the community is just unnecessary exclusion.

Allies in Texas need help
Not only has Texas put bounties on anyone who's had an abortion and ANYONE who helped them in ANY way, they also did so in DIRECT violation of supreme court precedent. Why isn't the national guard involved? Why hasn't Texas been forced to overturn this shit ruling that WILL ruin tons of lives?

Are we recognized by the LGTB group? Or are we our own thing?
I’ve seen some things on TikTok where LGTB people are bashing asexuals, as well as some hate thrown to asexuals by LGTB. I’m not saying straight people don’t do the same thing but I’ve seen a lot of hate from people who claim to be LGTB.

I thought my friends would accept me too
Before i get into it I’ll give a little information. So I am pretty new to asexuality and only recently discovered mine so it’s not surprising i have hardly told anyone about it. So about my friend group we are pretty colourful we have a lesbian, a gay trans guy, a pansexual, straight and me(heteroromantic/asexual)
So i came out to my best friend over text and he makes videos on tiktok and wanted to make a video about our friend group and our sexualities so he asked me for permission which i gave him. So he later sends that video to all friends because not all have tiktok.
Most if them took it nice and supportive. Sadly the straight guy didn’t know the flag so my best friend explained it to him. He responded with:"sure? Maybe he hasn’t found the right person yet."(i later found out about this while calling with that best friend)
This made us question if he was truly supportive of us or if he was acting to not get problems with his childhood best friend and his dad(both homosexuals) before he was always preaching about god but it felt like he was supporting now i‘m not sure if i want to tell anyone about my love for garlic bread.

Survey for aro-aces
Hi everyone.
I'm an independent researcher from France. I'm an LGBT person, and currently questioning myself about romantic orientation (Am I aro).
Seeing the dearth of knowledge on this topic, I decided to create my own survey about the lived experiences of aromantic people.
And I would like to get answers from asexual aromantics (as aro-ace experience is quite specific).
My survey : **https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeYHyI8RQUJsnr1Z3MMdZaFpAGhy9QT\_KglVxGOOVZs8EjF8Q/formResponse**
Thanks for your support.

Aromantic Discrimination Experiences
Hello and welcome. This survey is about the experiences of aromantic people, as well as people on the aro spectrum.
Aromanticism is a romantic orientation, defined by "not feeling any romantic attraction for anyone, regardless of their gender".

Allo’s weird me out.
I don’t get allosexual people. First off, they act like sexual activity is one of the most important things in the world. I mean, I can understand why people do it, but there’s so much more important stuff. (I’m talking merely of the act itself here.) You’ve got family, friendship, love, Netflix, food and water, sleep, pets, books, movies, and so much more. Second off, I am very disappointed that Netflix and chill doesn’t mean watching Netflix and chilling.
