gatekeeping of non-repulsed aces

I recently had an argument with someone (that i ended up blocking) that kept insisting that asexuals can only be sex repulsed and that all non-repulsed aces must identify as gray or demi.

I tried explaining that sexual attraction and sexual behavior/activity is not the same thing and that personal views on sex are not the same as attraction (ex. sex repulsed allosexuals).

They said that that's fucked up.

Maybe it was stupid to even engage in the argument in the first place. Dunno, I'm just tired of the gatekeeping.
