Is it wrong to fake being asexual to not make a big deal out of your sexuality?

I am a closeted 16 year old gay guy in a not so inclusive community. Only my closest friends know that I'm gay. There are already rumors in my school that I am gay and I really don't want the rumors spread further. I thought maybe if I tell people that I am not really sure of my sexuality or say that I am asexual might calm things down until I am ready to come out. But I feel that I might be disrespecting the asexual community by using asexuality as a way to shield myself. I have not gone along with the plan yet because I wanted to adrerss this before taking action.

Finding a cuddle buddy without pressure to have sex

I want to find a platonic cuddle buddy but don't know how. I thought of downloading a dating app but I have two problems: 1. finding someone who is okay with only cuddling (and maybe hanging out and eating pizza or something like that) and 2. being clear about my boundaries which means no sex and no romance. Apparently the majority of people on Tinder think that looking for someone to nap with means that you are also looking for sex... It is probably a good idea to have a Serious Conversation about what we want to do if I find someone nice but I want people to understand my intentions as early as possible. 😩 Theoretically I could try to look for asexuals but the town I live in isn't that big so I might not have many (or any) options.

I have done some sexual things before because the other person wanted to and I was like "well why not, I'm not sex repulsed, maybe it will be fun". Turns out it was more boring and weird than fun. I'm afraid I will end up in a similar situation and feel like I need to "buy" physical affection with sex. Or that the other person will become super horny and they'll have a hard time keeping their pants on. I just want cuddles without feeling like I have to have sex.

I am mostly venting but if you have any advice I would be happy to hear it! (Also English isn't my first language so I hope you understand what I am trying to say lol)
