Can we have a body-shaming discussion?
So, a post recently got 800+ likes that really bugged me, and I think I'd like to continue the conversation with the overall community if that is alright. I'm still new to it as a whole, so this might be out-of-line, but I was to start a dialogue so please give me the benefit of the doubt and I will try to do the same for everyone else.
Society really, really pushes sex. That's obvious and it sucks. And especially for sexually-repulsed aces, coming here to complain about it is about the only venting we can do. (I'm going to say we, b/c I actually am sex-repulsed so I understand the feeling). But I think there needs to be a line in the sand between 'complaining about society' and 'complaining about human bodies'.
Some afab people have large breasts. Some people choose to have large breasts. When you start equating their chest size to their sexuality and deem it 'repulsive', you're backhandedly demonizing a body type- not society. I know that isn't the intent, but it's the message being sent.
So please when we're doing the yuck-yucks and laughing at society, can we try not to demonize bodies? We don't have to celebrate them and we can certainly express discomfort, but can we try not to make the same mistake the whole world does with deciding that women are sex objects?
I wouldn't say anything at all if I thought the majority of people were actually being cruel on purpose or trying to shame people. I know that wasn't/isn't the intent for the vast majority of people who are here. But intent isn't the entirely of the conversation, and if stuff like this is left unexamined it can sometimes fester and grow worse with time.

What’s your favorite acephobic remark?
Mine is “you just haven’t done it with me yet” (proceeds to make uncomfortable sexual advances)

Do Asexual Cis Men even exist?
I feel like I‘ve only ever seen afab people being Ace. And it makes me really sad and self conscious cause I‘m mostly into men and I feel no one would want me cause I don‘t ever want sex. It freaks me out, I literally had nightmares of having to have sex
