Maybe we should try writing “I’m asexual” then finishing it with predictive text. I think that’s what this person was doing with “lesbian”

Allos: stop lying to yourself if being asexual is a deal breaker

I've recently gotten back on dating sites. Made sure it clearly states everywhere that I am asexual, and I bring it up with every match that I have a good chat with.

Majority have said, "Oh, that's okay! I don't mind!"

Hmm... Hard to believe so many of you are okay with no sex for life, but ok.

After a date or two, they ask again for clarification. Okay... I re-explain no problem. THEN they decide it's a deal breaker. Like... What??? You know deep down whether limited to no sex is a deal breaker right away. Stop lying to yourself and thinking it may be okay if that's truly something you need to be happy. Giving me this false hope that truly someone is accepting me for me and that I'm not doomed to be alone forever??

Don't get me wrong. I'm NOT mad at the fact that people won't date me and accept no sex. Absolutely not. I'm always polite and understanding of that aspect. But it really is frustrating to be told it's okay when like, weeks later they drop the "oh, I'm just too sexual." Or, "Oh, physical touch is too important to me" okay?? And you just remembered that now?? Pls.

Black Asexuals !!!!

I feel like a lot of what fed into my past aphobia was that I wasn’t seeing a lot of Black asexuals.. not on TV or anywhere.. so I’m making this post to say I’m Black & I’m ace and I’m proud :)
Just for any other Black aces, POC aces or questioning ppl who have ever felt the same…
