Question to my fellow asexuals, does anyone else make sex related jokes with no serious intent? Just humor

My roommate and I are both asexual and we make a lot of sex jokes. Is this prevalent or just an us thing?

I was told that I'm "not gay" because I'm asexual.

I'm homoromantic and asexual, and someone actually told me this. What does that even mean?

They were aware of the fact that I'm homoromantic, but they said I can't truly be gay unless I'm explicitly SEXUALLY attracted to men.

Why?

Am I the only one who sees no point in coming out?

I know I'm in the asexual community, but I don't see much of a reason to tell anyone.

Why should they need to know that? Unless they are my partner, it is irrelevant to them.

If someone asks me directly what my sexuality is, then I don't mind telling them.

I've only told around 5 IRL people. And yea. I don't think the others need to know.

Am I right in thinking this?
