If I were to say "Asexuality isn't really about whether or not you like HAVING sex" would that be correct?

From my understanding of Asexuality, it's about "do you see someone and want to have sex with them?" and not about whether or not you like the physical act of sex. Is this correct?

Maslow's hierarchy of needs, just look at the base of the pyramid. Sex is apparently just as imortant as breathing and MORE important than emotional connections. My parents showed me this to prove me that no one can live without sex. It just kinda makes me sad tbh. More reasons to feel like a freak.
