My mom told me she's proud of me!

So we were watching the news at dinner and they showed a segment about "sexual and gender dissents" (their wording and translated to english) that covered non-binary, asexuals and pans. My brother wanted to comment as it went along but my mom (who noticed that I wanted to listen) kept him silent until the end, when it did she said that she was proud of me and was grateful that I would correct her when she got things wrong

She has already said that last thing, but never that's she's proud of me because I'm ace, so I'm really happy right now!

I'd expect more from an institution designed to educate people, but alas...

Made a shirt for a punk rock show outta frustration for a failed relationship that I am just coming out of. I know what my boundaries are and I need to set them more strictly and find someone who accepts that I am not comfortable with sexual acts. I can’t wait to wear this on stage.

Is the lack of asexual representation in Hollywood just due to laziness

So most people don’t understand asexuality and some assume that we are all aromantic. Almost all story’s need the characters to have a motive or drive and a relationship is an easy one to write. It’s basic and almost universal. So with people thinking that we are sexless loveless robots they don’t write us into things and that intern drives us into obscurity and breeds more misunderstandings. So is the lack of ace representation in media due to laziness breeding laziness
