Met a nice guy on a dating app, but he's not asexual
So I got on an online dating site (OkCupid). I very clearing state that I'm asexual and that I won't be having sex with them. I matched with a guy recently. I met him for the first time lat week. He's handsome, funny, and nice. I haven't noticed anything crazy. The thing that's bothering me is that he hasn't stated that he's asexual and I haven't directly asked him about his sexuality. Maybe he's a closeted asexual, idk. I haven't discussed with him how he feels about me being asexual, but we have a second date coming up so I want to talk to him about it soon. I feel there's chemistry and that he likes me on some level. I don't want to get caught up before I know how he feels.
It just feels too good to be true. Even if I'm friend-zoned I worry that he thinks he'll be able to talk me into having sex or try to convince me that how I feel is wrong. Why would a non-asexual guy entertain a woman on a dating site if he knows they won't have sex? What are y'all's protocols for situations like this (asexual and non-asexual dating)? It's hard to find asexual men that I want to date. I've tried AsexualCupid.com, but the website isn't great and Redditors scare me (I haven't had a good experience with people on this site). I joined a Meetup, but I haven't been to many events yet.

I'm so tired of these type of people, why can't everyone just be human and equal.... Sexuality shouldn't matter
