My boyfriend and I (M) are both gay, 16 nearly 17. His best friend (F) is 19, and asexual. She says she’s usually disgusted by the thought of sex. Trigger warning: very mild sexual description in this post.
Recently my boyfriend went out for the day with her, an hour’s train journey away, whilst I stayed at home. He left his phone with her whilst he was in a clothes shop changing room, but it was accidentally unlocked.
Whilst he was stuck in the changing room, she swiped through dozens of his photos until she came across nudes of him that he had sent to me. She made a joke to him, he called out and told her to stop whilst nervously laughing, but she kept going until she was looking at nudes of both of us. She looked through about a dozen nudes of each of us whilst he kept saying to stop from the changing room.
Once she’d gone through those nudes, she kept swiping through and found more photos from when we had sexted, and kept going through yet another dozen nudes of each of us. We’re both underage, 16, and she’s 19.
I feel violated that she looked through both of our nudes when he was telling her not to, and I was tens of miles away and didn’t know what was happening. She made light-hearted jokes the entire time she looked through the photos about the angles and body parts in the photos.
She believes this is okay because she is asexual, so this was just harmless fun. I think, even ignoring that she is an adult and we are not, this is very creepy and the fact that she kept going through the photos after “accidentally” finding the first one makes me think she might have been curious by the nudes, even if she isn’t attracted.
You are all in a better position than me to judge. Is this still creepy given she is ace? And does it sound like she was “curious”? Does the fact that you aren’t sexual yourselves means you could nonchalantly go through a friend’s nudes without realising it is wrong?
