🔹 Participating in non-Islamic holidays and congratulating on them

Allah the Most High said:
"And (also) those who do not testify to false statements." (25:72)
Ibn 'Abbas said: "By" false statement "they mean the festival of the idolaters."
I (As-Sa'd) say: And this also includes what Christians today call Christmas. And to witness this is a great abomination.
Ibn Al-Qayyim said: “According to the agreement of the People of Knowledge, it is not allowed to participate in it (the festival of idolaters). And this was clearly stated by the Fiqh scholars of the followers of the four schools of law in their books. "

🔹 The meat of the People of Scriptures and the marriage with a Christian or Jewish woman.
"One is allowed to eat the meat of the People of the Scriptures if they are practicing Christians or Jews and follow their religious rules.
On the contrary, if one describes oneself as a Christian but does not practice and abide by the rules, it is not permissible to eat that meat.
The same holds true for the Muslim. One is allowed to eat the meat if the Muslim practices and abides by the rules of religion.
If one describes oneself as a Muslim but does not obey and follow the Islamic rules as for example not to pray, so it is not permissible to eat that meat and he is not allowed to marry a Muslim woman.
The same applies to the People of the Scriptures.
One is allowed to marry a Christian or Jewish woman if she practices and follows the religious rules.
Hence just to describe herself as a Christian or Jew is not enough."

🔹 The voluntary fasting on Saturdays
Question:
How authentic is the Hadith: "Don’t fast on Saturday except that which is obligatory upon you."
Answer: The Hadith is either divergent/isolated (شاذ)* and contradicts the more authentic Hadtihs or he is abrogated (منسوخ).
And there are Hadiths, which have been transmitted by a great number (متواتر) and contradict them.
So it is allowed to fast on Saturdays.
• Al-Hāfith #Ibn_Hajar said about the Hadith:
Transmitted by the Five and the transmitter are trustworthy, yet he is mudhtarib (contradictory).
Malik rejected it and Abu Dawud said: "He is abrogated".
[Bulugh Al-Marām]
*Shath: Technical Term (in the Science of Hadith).
The Contradiction (and the Rejection of a statement) of (apart from this) an accepted/decent transmitter because (the transmission) of another (or other) being more precise or the number of the other transmitters (that transmit something else) is higher.

🔹 Worship in times of turmoil (Fitan)
Ma'qal ibn Yasār -may Allah be pleased with him- reported, that the Prophet ﷺ said:
( العِبَادَة فِي الْهَرْجِ كَهِجْرَةٍ إِلَيَّ. )
"Worship (Al-'Ibādah) during times of turmoil (Al-Hajr*) is like emigration to me."
[Muslim (2948)]
That Hadith mentions the great reward of the one that worships in times of turmoil.
*Al-Hajr: the killing and the increased occurrence of temptations and discord (Fitan).
If you want the reward for the emigration (Hijrah) to the Prophet ﷺ, it is up to you to devote yourself to 'Ibadah (in this time).

That one that has to make up days from Ramadan should start with the six days of Shawwal after he made up the missed days he has to fast.
The Hadith says:

And he, who has to make up days up to the present has not fasted the whole month of Ramadan and should start to make up those days before fasting the six days of Shawwal.

🔹 Wiping the Face after Dua
Several Hadiths have been reported and the correct view is that they do not support each other because their chains of transmission are weak.
That is the reason why Ibn Taymiyyah and others classified them as weak.
If one says that the chains of transmission support each other, the answer is: They do not support each other because it has been several times been reported that the Prophet ﷺ used to raise his hand ( to supplicate).
Nevertheless, no authentic Hadith ever mentioned that he used to wipe his face.

🔷 The supplication, which will be answered on Friday
There are different opinions about the time of the supplication which will be answered on Friday. The two strongest views are as follows:
▪️ 1) The time is from the moment the Imam begins preaching until the end of Friday prayer.
▪️ 2) The last hour before the evening prayer (Al-Maghrib)
➡️ Proof of 1st opinion:
Abu Hurayrah - may Allah be pleased with him - reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned Friday and then said:
"There is an hour in it that no Muslim servant reaches while praying and asking Allah - the Mighty and Allmighty - for something, except that He grants him this." And he pointed with his hand and reduced it (the time) .
📗 [reported from Al-Bukhari by Muslim]
And the following hadith:
Abu Burdah narrated from his father - may Allah be pleased with him - who heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say:
"It (this hour) is between the time the Imam sits down to the time the prayer is performed."
➡️ The evidence for the 2nd opinion:
The hadith of 'Abdullah Ibn Salam, narrated by Ibn Mājah, and Jābir, narrated by Abu Dawud and An-Nasāi, states that it is (the time) between the afternoon prayer and the sunset.

🔹 Obedience towards parents does not apply to something that could harm oneself.
An example would be, them forbidding their child to acquire Islamic knowledge.
In that case, one does not have to obey them.
