There is a book series called Censored that compiles journalistic work that never sees the light of day.
A good candidate for Censored is a case that barely made a ripple in the daily news stream. Nothing to cause rage or looting on the streets, just a happenstance. Derrick Bernard (black) staged a hate crime by burning a cross and writing the usual racial slur. It was so textbook, hard to believe anyone could fall for it. He did that to benefit a black candidate running against a white one for the Colorado Springs mayoral chair.
Call it Colorado’s version of Smollett.
And there are more cases like this. Plenty, in fact. I dare someone to connect them into something coherent and actually interesting to read, instead of hearing the usual outcry about widespread white supremacy.

Colorado Springs Man Sentenced To 46 Months After Being Convicted On
DENVER – The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado announces that Derrick Bernard, 36, of Colorado Springs was sentenced to 46 months in federal prison, three years of supervised release, and a $200 special assessment after being found…
The second story is about Masons. The same ones some think run the world, while others could care less, perhaps they saw them do turkey runs on Thanksgiving and know about Shriners hospitals for burned children.
As reported by Le Monde, a trial is about to begin in Paris against 22 people tied to a Masonic lodge, accused in a Mafia-style murder-for-hire cases. Turn on the English translation to read it for yourself.
What to make of it? A reminder that Freemasonry does exist and it’s not just a harmless good old boys club. Like any closed network, it finds itself operating outside the law quite often. And, like any typical conspiracy story, there is murder and the alleged ties to Mossad.

Food for thought. Trump often references Reagan, drawing inspiration and inviting comparisons between the two. But as Trump’s popularity begins to slip—driven by military ventures abroad and an America First promise that has yet to fully materialize—you start to wonder what America will look like once his presidency is over.
And we’ll be left asking the proverbial American question: are we better off now than we were 4 years ago?

Tucker Carlson is calling on the U.S. military and people close to Trump to either resign or take away the nuclear codes from Trump.
The current situation in Iran is no one knows what will happen next, including Trump.

Based on conversations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, of Pakistan, and wherein they requested that I hold off the destructive force being sent tonight to Iran, and subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks. This will be a double sided CEASEFIRE! The reason for doing so is that we have already met and exceeded all Military objectives, and are very far along with a definitive Agreement concerning Longterm PEACE with Iran, and PEACE in the Middle East. We received a 10 point proposal from Iran, and believe it is a workable basis on which to negotiate. Almost all of the various points of past contention have been agreed to between the United States and Iran, but a two week period will allow the Agreement to be finalized and consummated. On behalf of the United States of America, as President, and also representing the Countries of the Middle East, it is an Honor to have this Longterm problem close to resolution. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

To recap the developments of the last 18 hours:
A ceasefire was preemptively declared by the Trump administration just short of his 8pm deadline last night after intervention from Pakistan and China. Iran later confirmed that a ceasefire had been reached and that it would allow shipping to resume in the Strait.
The US side claimed that offensive operations would pause for two weeks while negotiations continued with Iran in Pakistan to cement a comprehensive deal. In the meantime the Strait would open but under the control of the IRGC, which will collect revenue from the Strait.
However, Iran claimed that the US had agreed to a more thorough 10-point plan which had been proffered earlier in the week which included recognition of Iran's right to enrich uranium as well as a cessation of Israeli strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Israel is purportedly furious that they were excluded from these negotiations and denied that they agreed to a ceasefire in Lebanon. Israel conducted more strikes on Lebanon this morning, wounding +700 and killing 87 people.
In response to this purported violation of Iran's 10-point deal, Iran has now re-closed the Strait. Strikes are currently ongoing in Iran, although the US denies responsibility. Reports that the UAE or Saudi Arabia are responsible.

In an unfortunate turn of events, MAGA has turned into a political, ideological cult. But not the one many hard-right groups once dreamed of. It's become a clique of blind followers and true believers, rallying behind a hodgepodge of Trumpist ideas, all held together by the whims of Trump himself.
Attacking leaders like Alex Jones is another nail in the coffin. And the midterms likely won’t be the last thing Trump ends up losing.

Here is the geopolitical shortcut: no one really had an issue with Iran—except Israel, the US Israel Lobby, and Trump—before, or even during, the current conflict.
To Trump’s point, no one rushed in to help. NATO members, the Gulf countries, China, India, Russia, and the rest are either observing on sidelines or tacitly helping without drawing into the conflict directly.

🇺🇸 A #Michigan man charged with manslaughter for shooting a teen who broke into his garage was bound over for trial.
Judge Kelly Kostin noted that security footage makes Dayton Knapton's self-defense argument difficult, stating he put himself in the situation despite prior break-ins.
——
Knapton, 24, faces charges including assault with intent to murder and weapons offenses after killing a 17-year-old and injuring another. Police report he opened fire as intruders left his garage, where he had previously been told to improve security following two earlier break-ins.

The erasure of cultural and social expression is nothing new. But with streaming services for music, movies, games, and everything else, ownership has lost its meaning. If you don’t physically have it, it’s not really yours. You’re at the mercy of whoever controls the platform and their ever-changing standards.
Book redaction is well documented. Soviet Russia was notorious for stripping out unwanted texts and even editing dictionaries. Modern Russia blurs cigarettes on TV and blacks out LGBTQ+ references in books. In communist China, entire events can’t even be mentioned in the name of “social stability.”
America has long been seen as the only bastion of free expression, which is the lifeblood that keeps society vibrant and attractive to the outside world.
Yet even here, cultural censorship (aka cancel culture) has crept in.
Take a recent example: Peacock recently trimmed scenes from The Office. In Season 9, Episode 9, a scene where Dwight brings Nate in blackface as Belsnickel’s helper was brutally cut. Unless you own the DVD, you’ll never see it. And it won’t be the last scene deemed “too hurtful” and "wrong" to survive.
We should remind ourselves what a "nanny state" is. America was founded on the principles of self-governance and free speech. In a nutshell, it is the idea that people are mature enough to distinguish fact from fiction, humor from offense, irony from malicious intent.
The only way to guarantee a perfectly safe, offense-free world is to lock everyone in isolation and hand the keys to a benevolent dictator.

China has moved into high-end foods, like caviar, matcha, and even foie gras. With its industry juggernauts it can do so at scale. Next time you’re in the store, ChatGPT/Google where that “luxury” food comes from before you titillate your taste buds.
We’ve already seen Chinese garlic grown in degraded soils with questionable quality. Now the Middle Kingdom is moving into luxury foods. Paying premium prices for subpar quality is simply bad value.
