Effective immediately, several District Magistrates across Jammu & Kashmir have issued formal orders suspending the use of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) following reports of an *unprecedented surge* in usage by *suspicious internet users*.

📍 Affected Districts (as of 30 Dec 2025):

🔥 Kashmir Valley
• Kulgam
• Kupwara
• Shopian

📌 Jammu Region
• Rajouri
• Poonch
• Kathua
• Kishtwar
• Doda

Authorities have cited security concerns and law-and-order maintenance as the basis for these restrictions.
