The corruption of Masoumeh Ebtekar and Family (Part One)

Masoumeh Ebtekar was born in Tehran, on September 1960 to her father, Taghi Ebtekar, and her mother, Fatemeh Barzegar.
Beginning in 1963, her family spent six years living between Massachusetts and Philadelphia suburbs while her father completed his master’s degree. In 1969, her family returned to Tehran where Ebtekar attended Tehran International School.

Back in Tehran, she married Mohammad Hashemi in 1978. Ebtekar was well known as a spokesperson for the Muslim Student Followers of the Imam’s Line, a radical group that participated in the Iranian Hostage Crisis of 1979...

According to Fereshtegan Financial, a now dissolved credit institution, documents from June 2019, indicated that Taha Hashemi has accumulated over 650 million tomans (153.5 million USD) in debt.
