Iran: #Tehran will aim for 'centre of the Zionist regime' in case of 'tiniest move' by Israel - Raisi on Army Day

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has warned that Israel will be targeted by his country’s armed forces if it makes “the tiniest move” against Iran.

He spoke as talks stalled in Vienna over a deal to rein in Iran’s nuclear capabilities, which Tehran says are used for peaceful purposes.

Israel opposes a deal, saying it does not do enough to curb Iran’s nuclear programme or its military activities across the region.

Israeli officials have said they will unilaterally do what is necessary to protect their country.

Iranian President Sayyed Ebrahim Raisi held the global arrogance responsible for the assassination of Islamic Revolution Guards [IRG] member Hassan Sayyad Khodaei in #Tehran, pledging that Iran will exact revenge for the terrorist attack.

Speaking to reporters before leaving Tehran for Oman for an official visit on Monday, Raisi expressed his condolences to the IRG and the family of Khodaei, who was martyred in an assassination attack in Tehran on Sunday.

Raisi said an investigation into the attack would reveal that the global arrogance was undoubtedly behind the criminal act.

He further stated that those who have been defeated in the battlefield by the forces defending the holy shrines of Shiite Muslims in Syria are expressing their frustration with such assassination attacks.

In parallel, the Iranian president emphasized the need for Iranian security officials to pursue the case seriously, adding, “No doubt the revenge for the blood of the great martyr against the criminals will definitely be taken.”

On his official visit to Muscat, the president said Iran and the Sultanate of Oman are determined to broaden ties in various fields, such as trade, energy sector, and tourism.

Unveiling plans to sign a series of agreements during the trip, Raisi said he will focus on efforts to promote bilateral and regional cooperation with Oman.

“The remarkable key point in the region is that dialogue and cooperation among the regional countries would create security. The presence of foreign forces in the region does not create security by any means, and could even threaten the regional security,” he added.

His one-day visit is being made at the official invitation of Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Said. https://english.alahednews.com.lb/65552/391

#Tehran Justice Department will file a lawsuit to determine the damages caused by direct participation of the United States in the recent protests in #Iran, as announced by the Vice President for International Affairs of the Iranian Judiciary, Kazem Gharibabadi, quoted by the IRNA agency.

Gharibabadi accused the foreign television networks BBC Persian and Iran International of having incited the demonstrators to commit riots, as well as acts of violence against public and private buildings.

He also called for these two media outlets and their staff to be included on "the list of terrorist groups and individuals."

"Documented cases about the actions of these [television] networks are being compiled and lawsuits against them will soon be launched in domestic and foreign courts," he noted.

The also secretary of the High Council for Human Rights of Iran indicated that "the relevant government apparatuses" will not ignore the interference of the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia, since both countries host and support the dissemination of these information entities.

On other hand, he mentioned that the authorities of the nations where Iran has diplomatic representations must take the necessary measures to guarantee the protection of their personnel and facilities, in order to avoid aggression against them.

"Countries in which Iranian diplomatic personnel or sites have been targeted should abide by their commitments under international law and prosecute the perpetrators of such attacks," Gharibabadi said, suggesting that they could also extradite these "offenders to Iran on basis of the 1973 Convention".
