Transforming “noise” and random variables through non-linearities
This post covers a topic slightly different from my usual ones and something I haven’t written much about before – applied elements of probability theory. We will discuss what happens with “n…

IMX586 #LIBMOD v3
for k20pro/mi9tpro ofilm lens
Further experiments with main sensor lib patches.
Changelog:
- Cleaned up a little previous builds
- Added experimental imx689 registers
- Ported PDAF setting from pixel6pro tele
- Experimented with various 586 & 598 registers
Module contains both avg & sum binning weighting you can choose during installation.
Doesn't work with 48mp fullres & breaks video 🤷♂️, thus only suitable for 12mp photo output.

How cameras see color: RGB vs RGBW, Bayer vs Fuji X-Trans, Purple isn't real?!
Tony gets mega geeky as he digs into the science of color. He describes how our brains map colors to wavelengths of light, how purple is non-spectral and literally a figment of your imagination, how the rods and cones of your eye detect color in almost exactly…
GPSunfucker module for Qualcomm devices
So several people in my device's custom ROM chat pointed towards a poorly working GPS. After fiddling around for a little it turns out that at least on our device the conf is from miui - which is using asian ntp servers, additionally there were several switches that potentially may result in more precise gps & better signal with satellites. I've checked p5a (barbet), couple onepluses & some asus device that recently got a12 - and it seems that config is quite unified for at least recent platform, thus I suppose it may work for a wide range of qualcomm-powered devices. Although, don't get harsh on - I didn't spend much time reading much on every control, so potentially there might be better setup. Work is kinda accidental from my usual expertise.
Anyways, feel free to test it out ;)
