If you thought that physical pixel pitch of IMX989 is 1.6μm, you're wrong. As an 8PD sensor, its physical design is shared with Samsung's S5KGN series, meaning there's 100 million photosites at 0.8x1.6μm. Thanks for tuning in.
Spatial Audio Upmix update!
I've recently revised my upmixer port - I had to repatch everything from scratch and removed unnecessary forces.

Xiaomi x Leica bullshit ?
So for some odd reason people are crazy about vivid & natural profiles in mi12s ultra, except it doesn't even seem to be profile, or curve, or anything - its just a boring LUT XD. At least upon not very close firmware examination. I'm too lazy to look inside camera apk as I essentially can't give more fucks than none - if they really did help with lenses - it's the best it can be.

Feel free to dl & use (for example in open source Photon camera)
Ximi supposed bs? part 2

Remember when Lei Jun was flexin' and wildin' about imx989 being an incredible achievement that wouldn't be possible without xiomeme deeply involved? Well, for some odd reason Sharp r7 got it a month prior.
Hw info on the pic posted by yamada845 showing 3958x2976 resolution that matches 47.2mp binned to 11.2mp mentioned by Sharp in its brochures, both sensors equipped with octaPD, but mi12su cam2 showing 4096x3072 resolution instead - which matches 50mp binned.
What is actually going on there with imx989 and more importantly bold ximi statements?
And finally about mi12SU

Early adopters/users/reviewers - please check if full resolution raw is exposed for third-party cameras as camX having a weird indicator they might trick hal for letting full res raw only for miuicam.
If that's for real then all we achieved with mi10u/11u by patching camx without any heavy lifting that needed back in mi9 days is flushed into the toilet. From onepuke not letting use of auxes on non pukecam, to using jpeg instead of raw for stacking - and (possibly) here we are again.
Nothing, yet again

The guy who desperately wants to get peid strikes back - Carl with his brilliantly named nothing phone is going deep down the rabbit (tho, there are parrots on brochures) hole with nft/crypto typical scam way. I guess it's safe to assume that some people have memory span of an aquarium fish - there is no other way to explain how some people buy into Pei's buzz after what he did to oneplus. Unless you're an invester, ofc. As for the users, I have a bad feeling you guys not only getting Nothing, but Something to actually stay away from, as with crypto, you know, Anything can happen ;)

Uhhh, don't tell me we went from sketchy way of detecting device presence in DXO office by location check, to in-your-face custom api2 key lol.
ASD stands for automatic scene detection, xiomeme using asd's for ease of tuning appliance. Old luts (non leica ones) also relate to asd and some ai bs.
There must be something on this key in hal, but I'm too lazy to dig in. Not sure if it existed during mi11, or 12's, since 12S models weren't sent to dxo. Nonetheless, it's still hilarious.
