Dear Lord, you are the God of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Help us to see your grace in every stage of our lives. Amen.

The Upper Room
Upper Room Devotional for April 17th, 2026
Recently, I read Matthew 22 where Jesus quoted Exodus to the Sadducees who were questioning him. In Exodus, many people gain new names. For example, Abram becomes Abraham and Jacob becomes Israel. In the quote in Matthew 22:32, we have Abraham’s new name…

8) This is a weird story that may not be a story---or may be. Over the past several months nine scientists or researchers connected to nuclear and high-level programs have gone missing. Now, kind of, a 10th, as a NM property manager to a high security campus has gone missing.

Manifest – open, clear
John 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
I Corinthians 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
I Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached to the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Luke 8:17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.
John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
I Corinthians 3:13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest; for the the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
Mark 4:22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
I John 1:2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
John 17:6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
II Corinthians 4:10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
II Corinthians 4:11 For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
I Peter 1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
These are the verses in the Bible that speak to this idea of manifestation. I hear much from many circles these days about this and want to understand more of what it means for Christians. It seems in the context of today’s parlance to be much more associated with the occult or new age religion, but the Bible, in my opinion, uses manifestation as a revealing of God’s will, His persona, and the secrets of men’s hearts.
I just published this on my substack. It's easier to read there.

We know that Truth (Veritas) is not simply a thing or a noble concept. Truth is a person, a divine person, Jesus Christ. He is Truth and the author of Truth. The work we do is for Him, through Him and in Him. https://www.veritasregnat.com/2026/04/09/why-support-for-truth-matters-so-much/

I come from a long line of craftspeople. My mom was an extraordinary seamstress, and my grandmother made beautiful needlework designs. One day Mom decided it was time for me to take up the family tradition of crafting. She bought me a simple embroidery…
