Announcement: I am working on a new interactive map which will visualise geolocations of Russian Geran drone strikes on Ukraine. The goal is to map as many geolocated Geran drone strikes as possible since the beginning of the war.

If you have any geolocations that you or others have done, please either post them and tag me on twitter (@AMK_Mapping_), or DM them to me.

The strikes can be as old as you want, and can be from the video of a strike itself, the aftermath of a strike, NASA FIRMS data showing fires there, etc. Basically, anything that has evidence of a Geran strike taking place. Also include your best guess for the date that it occurred on.

I am finding as many geolocations done by myself and others over the past three years as possible, but obviously I'm not following every channel or account that has ever posted these, so please - if you can - let me know about any geolocations you have done or found.

Hopefully this will be a really cool resource that can be regularly updated and looked back on.
NASA FIRMS data shows a fire at an electrical substation in the village of Chaplynka, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, after Russian Geran-2 drone strikes.

Around ten Gerans were recorded in the area last night.
NASA FIRMS data picked up a large fire at a building in Shostka, Sumy Oblast. Around 20 explosions were reported in the city overnight during a Geran-2 drone attack.
Russian Geran-2 drones attacked Druzhkivka, Donetsk Oblast last night. At least one impact was recorded.
Ukrainian UAVs attacked the Kremniy-EL electronics plant in Bryansk City, Bryansk Oblast. At least one impact was recorded, with a large fire breaking out.

⚡️🇫🇷🇱🇧 A French Air Force Beech King Air 350ER aircraft (#FAF9212) was tracked flying over several villages both south and north of the Litani River in Lebanon.

The aircraft conducted repeated loops and surveillance patterns offshore and along the southern Lebanese coastline.

The IDF announced that its forces from the 9221st "Samaria" Reserve Battalion of the 442nd "Samaria" Territorial Brigade, and undercover Border Police officers have arrested the head of the Balata company.

The Balata company is a small Palestinian armed group subordinated under the Nablus Battalion, which is a part of the Saraya al-Quds brigades (armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad). It is based in the Balata Refugee Camp in the eastern part of the city of Nablus.

After reaching the centre of the camp, they reportedly engaged in clashes with Palestinian fighters, who threw improvised explosive devices (IEDs) while Israeli forces cleared the area, which was fortified by the Palestinians, with grenades and other explosives. The IDF claimed that a small group of undercover Israeli police officers managed to infiltrate the building and captured "Qaran" - the head of the Balata Company.

No casualties were reported among Israeli forces. Notably, the Saraya Al-Quds brigades did not release any statements regarding the clashes as they usually do.

Keep in mind, this is not a huge loss for Palestinian resistance in the West Bank. All of the armed groups here are very "rag-tag" these days and have very little coordination. They operate in cells of 1-2 fighters and mostly operate by detonating low yield Improvised Explosive Devices on Israeli vehicles, which rarely do much damage.

New heads of these companies pop up almost instantly after the old head is eliminated. The heads also don't do much which would require a lot of training for a new head due to the small nature of the groups, limited coordination, limited weapons due to the lack of supply and constant Israeli raids, and little experience of the fighters - many of which are very young.

A new head will pop up soon, and he will be killed within a year or so. Israel claims these groups pose a major threat to Israeli security, but the only real threats come from lone-wolf terrorist attacks in Israeli territory, or to the Israeli forces actually entering the refugee camps in the West Bank. This is very different to Hamas and the armed groups in Gaza which have the ability to regularly fire rockets into Israel, can put up significant armed resistance at specific points, have a lot of experience in fighting Israelis, much more weaponry and manpower, and had the ability to conduct large-scale operations such as "al-Aqsa flood" on October 7, 2023.

So, if you see statements made by Palestinian armed groups in the West Bank that suggest high levels of coordination and significant results on Israeli forces, please know that they are heavily exaggerated and often blatant lies.

The only group which really had significant experience, coordination and a proper leadership structure was the Jenin battalion, specifically the fighters based in the Jenin Refugee Camp. It was seen as the capital of Palestinian resistance in the West Bank. However, since the Israeli military operation in Jenin and its Refugee Camp, the group which went from numbering in the hundreds, and actually controlling and administering the camp is completely dismantled, with its members either being killed, in Israeli custody, or fleeing to other parts of the Jenin governorate.

Of course, the Jenin battalion will probably return in the future under new leadership (the old leader was assassinated in a joint operation by the Palestinian Authority and the IDF during the failed Palestinian Authority military operation last year), but the Jenin camp is currently uninhabitable, with many of its buildings being bulldozed or blown up, meaning that any reformation of armed resistance in the camp will take time.
Possible Iskander on Kryvyi Rih. Could be air defence again.
