A Russian FPV drone flying over Kharkiv City, ~28 km from the frontline.
In the Yunakivka direction, Russian forces made significant progress in Sumy Oblast and advanced on a wide front.

Russian forces completed the capture of the village of Bilovody, advancing from their positions in the centre of the village and capturing the southernmost houses. They also advanced from the western part to the southwestern houses, while seizing further positions in the adjacent forest plantations. To the west, they advanced down the treeline from positions in the village of Veselivka, reaching the southeastern approaches of the village of Vodolahy, and seizing positions on the tactical heights.

To the west, Russian forces advanced over the international border, capturing a 1.9km long stretch of a treeline, gaining a foothold on the tactical heights, before moving east into the forest plantations northwest of Vodolahy. From there they entered the northern houses of the village, capturing positions there and beginning the push to the southern outskirts.

Further west, Russian forces advanced from their positions in the northwestern houses of the village of Volodymyrivka, pushing southeast through the village and completing its capture. They also advanced into the adjacent forest plantations northeast and southwest of the settlement, seizing the positions there. To the northwest, Russian forces crossed the international border and captured the groves just south of it.

Reuters, citing a Palestinian official, reported that Hamas has agreed to a ceasefire proposal by U.S. special envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff. The deal reportedly involves the release of 10 hostages and a 70-day pause in the fighting.
In the Yunakivka direction, Russian forces advanced and captured the village of Loknya, establishing themselves at the northern outskirts of Yunakivka.

Russian forces advanced south down both banks of the Loknya River from their positions in the central part of the village and captured the southern houses. They also advanced east to the agricultural buildings east of the settlement, capturing them too.

+ ~1.01km² in favour of Russia.
In the Vovchansk direction, Russian forces continued to make progress in the ruins of the city and have captured new positions in the city centre.

Russian forces advanced west of the highway, capturing what's left of the courthouse, a number of commercial facilities and some houses.

East of the highway, they captured the police station and city council building, before moving on to the central park and the adjacent residential area. Russian forces took up positions in the dugouts where the houses used to be, reaching the northern edge of the ruins of the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant.

In the citadel, Russian forces cleared Ukrainian positions in the rubble of the high-rise buildings which have been completely flattened by now, capturing four more former 5-story buildings, the rubble of the kindergarten and the dugouts where the houses used to be. Ukrainian forces are still entrenched in two former high-rise buildings.

+ ~0.17km² in favour of Russia.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, Russian forces continued their offensive and have made signficant progress.

Russian forces advanced in four areas. In the east, they cleared out the salient west of the village of Leonidivka, capturing numerous positions in the treelines and forest plantations.

To the west, Russian forces began making a buffer-zone around the village of Romanivka. They pushed north from the village, capturing positions in the southern part of the two treelines which run parallel to the highway, coming close to seizing the last parts of a ridgeline. They also completed the capture of a trench strongpoint by pushing across the highway, and seized new positions at the northern end of the adjacent treeline.

In the south, Russian forces cleared most of one of the two sub-salients, capturing numerous positions in the treelines and forest plantations both on the tactical heights and in the low-lying ground, reaching and crossing the Niu-York - Kalynove road.

In the west, Russian forces began fleshing out their spearhead to Zorya. They began storming Zorya from their forward trench positions, while simultaneously attacking the western flank, capturing in the treelines and forested areas. In Zorya, Russian forces were able to reach the Kalynivka River, cutting off the southern houses from the rest of the village, before capturing them separately. Other assault detachments pushed north, clearing the southern and central parts of the village, taking up new positions in the private sector.

+ ~25.82km² in favour of Russia.

Germany has lifted all restrictions on the types of weapons that Germany and its allies can supply to Ukraine. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz also stated that there are no limits set by the British, French or the US either. This opens the way to the supply…
I'm wondering if the Taurus missiles are already in Ukraine, and the process to equip them with the Su-24M has already or has nearly been completed.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said a month and a half ago that Germany is willing to send Taurus missiles to Ukraine as long as it is jointly agreed with Germany's European Partners. Who's to say that they didn't agree 4+ months before that? Of course, the elections in Germany ended only 3 months ago, but it's still possible Scholz made the decision earlier after the Bundestag was dissolved in December 2024.

Furthermore, on May 23, 2 Russian Iskander-M ballistic missiles hit the Odesa Port, with the Russian MOD claiming it targeted a container ship transporting military equipment to Ukraine.

Additionally, U.S. Boeing P-8A Poseidon Maritime Reconnaissance Aircraft have begun making flights around the eastern black sea, close to the Kerch Bridge, possibly scouting it out for the Ukrainian command.
One IL-76MD military transport aircraft landed at Engels-2 Airbase in Saratov Oblast yesterday at 8:15pm, with the cargo likely consisting of Kh-101 cruise missiles.

Additionally, a Tu-160 carried out training from Engels-2 Airbase for 8 hours straight, which is far longer than before.
New satellite imagery of Engels-2 Airbase in Saratov Oblast from May 26.

The following were at the airbase:
2 Tu-95MS strategic bombers.
3 Tu-160 strategic bombers.
2 Su-34 tactical bombers.

One of the two Tu-95s is left over from the last missile attack and is likely being or has already been equipped with Kh-101 cruise missiles. The other Tu-95 conducts regular training missions from the airbase with usual training flight patterns - no changes were observed with that.

One of the Tu-160s is from Belaya Airbase in Irkutsk Oblast and redeployed sometime in between the two back-to-back missile strikes. Another of the Tu-160s is left over from the second missile strike and is likely being or has already been equipped with Kh-101 cruise missiles. The other Tu-160 regularly conducts training missions from the airbase, with the recent one interestingly lasting exactly 8 hours, which is much longer than usual.

The 2 Su-34s conduct regular bombing runs with KAB/FAB glide-bombs on Sumy Oblast (Richky, Bilopillya, Vorozhba, Yunakivka, Myropillya & Krasnopillya directions), Kharkiv Oblast (Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Slatyne, Vovchansk, Kupyansk, Borova & Izyum directions) and northern Donetsk Oblast (Lyman direction). As of the time this image was taken, at least two of the Su-34s were airborne, likely conducting bombing runs. They also sometimes conduct joint training with the Tu-160 or the Tu-95MS.

Last night, a Russian KAB glide-bomb impacted Sumy City for the first time this year. The last time they targeted the city directly with a glide-bomb was on December 26, 2024.

A large fire broke out at the impact site and locals reported some power outages.
Last night's Geran-2 drone attack was oddly small for this month. Drones were launched from Millerovo Airbase in Rostov Oblast, Cape Chauda in Crimea, and Khalino Airbase in Kursk Oblast.

~25 drones were launched, and targeted Sumy City, Mykolaiv Oblast, Kramatorsk (Donetsk Oblast)

At least 3 impacts were recorded in Sumy, 1 on the outskirts of Mykolaiv and one in Mykolaiv city itself. Electronic warfare in Kramatorsk managed to down all three Gerans which flew into the city around 800-1000 metres short of their target.

Videos are all from Sumy.

Consequences of Russian Geran-2 drone strikes on a truck repair workshop in Sumy City. A fire broke out at the impact site; however, the camera angle doesn't give us a good idea of the damage caused.

Gerans also impacted just 630m away in the same industrial zone 6 days ago, targeting smaller workshop-like areas.
