While the Iskanders hit their targets, Kyiv was also under a large-scale Geran-2 drone attack. Over 40 drones flew into the city. Most were shot down, however several hit their targets.
In the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces made new advances towards the city of Kupyansk, capturing key positions west of the Oskil River.

Russian forces advanced south from the forests west of the Kalynove tract and captured the two remaining treelines on the tactical heights. They then pushed west to the village of Kindrashivka, seizing positions in the northeastern part of the village, and lining up the front east and southeast of the village of Mala Shapkivka, which will make future assault operations to recapture the previously lost positions in the village easier.

Russian forces continued to advance south, clearing the houses in eastern Kindrashivka, while separate assault detachments gained a foothold in the forest southwest of the Kalynove tract, pressuring units defending the buffer zone around the village of Holubivka, and captured positions in the treelines on the adjacent heights.

Once this penetration had been achieved, a general push to the south took place, in which Russian forces captured the treeline and forest plantations in the low-lying ground, as well as the southeastern houses of Kindrashivka, before advancing uphill and gaining a foothold on the tactical heights which overlook Kupyansk itself. Positions were seized in the treeline on those heights on the approaches to the next two forests, which are now in the grey zone.

Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups advanced south to the northern outskirts of Kupyansk, and operated in the small village of Radkivka and the surrounding forests. This was mistakenly labelled as an expansion of the Russian zone of control.

The remaining 6 Tu-95MS strategic bombers stationed at Belaya Airbase in Irkutsk Oblast redeployed to Olenya Airbase in Murmansk Oblast last night.

2 Tu-160s may have also redeployed from Belaya Airbase to Engels-2 Airbase in Saratov Oblast.

Additionally, an IL-76MD military transport aircraft landed at Engels-2, with the cargo consisting of Kh-101 Cruise missiles for the Tu-95s and Tu-160s.

Whether a large missile attack on Ukraine takes place in the coming days or not depends on how many of the Tu-95s and Tu-160s were equipped with missiles at Belaya, as some may still need to fly to Engels-2 to be equipped with missiles and then back to Olenya first.

Currently, there are 15 Tu-95s stationed at Olenya, Engels-2 and Diaghilev.
The power of OSINT 😁
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces renewed their assault operations in the village of Ridkodub and have made some minor progress.

After establishing control over the eastern houses of the village and slightly pushing up the northeastern street, Russian forces briefly halted their assault operations to consolidate control over their newly captured positions in the village.

They then pushed further west down the northeastern street, clearing out houses, and approached the end of the road. To the south, they entered Tsentralna Street and cleared out the eastern houses of it.

In the Siversk direction, Russian forces continued to make slow and steady progress towards Siversk, and have captured new positions southeast of the ruins of Hryhorivka.

Russian forces advanced west down the main treeline which runs from the regional border between Donetsk and Luhansk Oblast, all the way up to the southeastern approaches to the village of Serebryanka, and captured new positions there on the tactical heights. In addition to this, they pushed into the next forest over and gained a foothold there.

To the south, Russian forces marginally advanced, entering a small forest in the low-lying ground, and capturing positions there.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, Russian forces continued their offensive and have made further progress in two main areas.

In the east, Russian forces advanced up both banks of the Bychok River. On the western bank, Russian forces completed the capture of the small disconnected residential area in the southwestern part of the village of Yablunivka. Meanwhile, assault detachments on the eastern bank pushed north up two treelines, reaching and capturing part of the perpendicular one, before advancing to and gaining a foothold in the treeline to the north.

In the west, Russian forces advanced from their newly established buffer zone around the village of Nova Poltavka, and captured the forest plantations in the low-lying ground. Other assault detachments advanced from the treelines northwest of Nova Poltavka and captured an agricultural complex, and the two treelines south and east of it on the tactical heights. They then pushed north to the next series of forest plantations, therefore bypassing the gulley and preventing any costly storming operations to take place from the southeastern direction.

These forces pushed as far north as the southern approaches to the village of Popiv Yar, before Russian forces advanced west down the two treelines on the tactical heights that branch off from these forest plantations, capturing them in their entirety and reaching the large fields southwest of Popiv Yar.

On the eastern flank of Pokrovsk, Russian forces continued to grind down Ukrainian defences northeast of the city of Myrnohrad and completed the capture of the village of Malynivka.

After seizing the majority of Malynivka, Ukrainian forces - instead of withdrawing west towards the neighbouring village of Myrne - decided to dig in and managed to put up significant resistance. Battles were fought here for close to a week straight, with multiple Russian infantry assaults being repelled, however Russian forces were able to continue to wear down the Ukrainian defences with FPV drones and artillery to the point where they were eventually able to dislodge Ukraine from their forward positions and begin clearing the westernmost houses.

Russian forces advanced down both banks of the tributrary of the Kazenyi Torets River, moving down the T-0504 Highway and the road on the northern bank, capturing the rest of the houses and taking up positions there. They were also able to seize the forest plantations to the north.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian forces advanced and re-entered the village of Horikhove.

Russian forces advanced in two main areas. In the south they pushed west from their positions in the western part of the village of Troitske and captured the northern end of a treeline and the adjacent forest plantations. They then pushed into the northern houses on the easternmost street of Horikhove, recapturing the positions there.

In the north, Russian forces advanced from their positions north of Horikhove, pushing west down a treeline perpendicular to their initial positions, capturing new positions on the tactical heights and expanding the grey zone to the regional border with Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

+ ~1.32km² in favour of Russia.
In the Komar direction, Russian forces continued to make significant progress and have captured the village of Odradne.

Russian forces advanced in two directions to Odradne in a sudden storming operation. Special forces pushed west down the highway from Bahatyr and captured positions in the treeline which runs along it, reaching the forest plantations in the low lying ground. They then pushed through those forest plantations, reaching Odradne from the east and entering the village.

At the same time, Russian forces pushed north up a treeline to the southwestern outskirts of Odradne and captured the first houses of the village there. Those two groups linked up in the centre, while other assault detachments cleared the remaining positions in the two treelines to the east and southeast. Odradne fell with minimal resistance, with 11 flags being raised throughout the settlement. Russian forces also continued to push along the highway, capturing new positions north and northwest of Odradne, while the treelines north of the village were also seized.

In the Komar direction, Russian forces continue to make progress in the vicinity of the village of Shevchenko and have reached the eastern outskirts of the settlement.

Following the important advances on and near the tactical heights to the south, Russian forces began pushing in three directions southeast and east of Shevchenko, including on the tactical heights north of the ones where the previous assault operations took place.

Russian forces advanced northwest up the treeline that runs parallel to the north of the villages of Vilne Pole and Pryvilne, capturing most of the rest of it, and approached the intersection with a second treeline.

To the north, Russian forces pushed west down a forest in the low-lying ground towards Shevchenko, capturing new positions near the local graveyard. They also branched off to and advanced down the parallel treeline on the tactical heights to the north, gaining a foothold there, and are approaching the northeastern outskirts of Shevchenko.

+ ~1.05km² in favour of Russia.
In the Komar direction, Russian forces continued to make progress in and around the villages of Novopil and Zelene Pole, capturing new important positions.

Russian forces advanced in two areas. Most of the progress was made in the north, where Russian forces secured the remaining areas east of Zelene Pole, capturing three treelines, before completing the capture of the orchards and adjacent forest and advancing to and capturing the agricultural buildings on the northeastern outskirts of the village.

They then re-secured their positions in Zelene Pole which were previously in the grey-zone and advanced further north than before, capturing positions int the northeastern houses, while also pushing slightly further west down the Velyka Novosilka - Hulyaipole Road.

In the south, Russian forces made new advances in the village of Novopil which is on the tactical heights, capturing the rest of the eastern street, before moving on to and seizing the centre of the settlement. They also marginally advanced down the treeline to the south.

At least two Ukrainian UAVs impacted the "Energia" plant in the city of Yelets, Lipetsk Oblast. The "Energia" plant (Posyolok Elektrik) develops and produces autonomous power sources for various purposes, including aviation, naval and radio engineering. It…
Satellite imagery of the Energia plant in Yelets reveals that three Ukrainian UAVs managed to impact it, rather than two. Significant damage is observed to what appears to be the administrative building.

New satellite imagery of the Engels-2 Airbase in Saratov Oblast from 24/05/25.

Currently stationed at the airbase are:
3 Tu-95MS
3 Tu-160s
1 IL-76MD
4 Su-34

2 of the 3 Tu-95s stationed there are being equipped with Kh-101 cruise missiles. These are the ones which I talked about earlier today. The other Tu-95 is also stationed there and conducts training missions on a nearly daily basis.

2 of the Tu-160s stationed there probably flew from Belaya Airbase in Irkutsk Oblast shortly before this photo was taken, while the other Tu-160 also conducts regular training missions.

The IL-76MD flew there yesterday coinciding with the flight of the 2 Tu-95s. The cargo consisted of Kh-101 cruise missiles which were subsequently equipped to those Tu-95s and will be equipped to the other 2 Tu-95s flying in from Olenya right now.

The 4 Su-34s conduct regular bombing runs with KAB and FAB glide-bombs on targets in the Izyum, Kupyansk and Kharkiv districts of Kharkiv Oblast, and in the area of Bilopillya, Vorozhba, Richky, Yunakivka, Myropillya and Krasnopillya in Sumy Oblast. At the time this photo was taken, none of the Su-34s that stay there were in the air.

Footage from Kyiv showing two Patriot systems launching air defence missiles simultaneously, amid dozens of Geran-2 drone and Iskander-M ballistic missile strikes.
New footage of Geran-2 drone strikes on Kyiv last night.

I think people forget how effective Gerans are, especially when Iskanders are hitting at the same time, like what we saw last night. Ukrainian air defence was completely overwhelmed by the Gerans, meaning that all the Iskanders got through, along with what seems to be as many as 20, or even more Gerans.
