Reports of a temporary ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian armed groups in Gaza for the release of Israeli soldier Idan Alexander are untrue. Israeli artillery and airstrikes continue to target various parts of the Gaza Strip.

Clashes also broke out between Israeli forces from the 10th "Harel" armoured brigade (252nd "Sinai" Division) and Palestinian militants in the eastern part of the Shujaiyya district in eastern Gaza City.
It's crazy that this post isn't satire.
The siege on the Tel Al-Sultan district, western Rafah City, southern Gaza continues to be tightened. Israeli forces from the 14th "Machatz" Armored Brigade are pushing deeper with multiple vectors of movement, slowly clearing out the bombed-out residential blocks one by one but are facing minimal resistance.

Most of the activity is in the southern part of the district, which was the most densely populated. The IDF claims that they continue to destroy tunnel shafts, destroy infrastructure used by Palestinian militants and seize weapons.

There are very few Palestinian militants left in this district. The vast majority of Israel's clearing operations are just ensuring that there aren't any militants in the buildings, that no cells attack their forces, and to turn buildings into forward deployment points, command and control centres and other things with military purposes.

In my opinion, most if not all of the remaining Palestinian fighters are from Hamas' Al-Qassam Brigades, specifically remnants of the Tal al-Sultan Battalion (part of the larger Rafah Brigade), rather than from any other group such as the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) or the PLFP. Since Israel's previous Rafah offensive, nearly all fighters of the Tal al-Sultan battalion have been killed, wounded or forced to flee north.

The number of Palestinian militants here is probably in the dozens, if not less. The remaining and most radical ones will be holding out in tunnels underneath the neighbourhood, waiting to carry out small-scale ambushes against IDF troops and equipment up until the neighbourhood is fully secured.

⚡️🇱🇾 TL;DR: What the fuck is going on in Libya?

Libya remains split between the GNU in Tripoli (Dbeibah) and the GNS in Benghazi (Hamad, backed by Haftar). The political deadlock over elections continues since 2021.

Security is tense despite a 2020 ceasefire, worsened by a 2024 Central Bank dispute a few months ago.

This morning fighting erupted in Tripoli after SSA leader Abdul Ghani al-Kikli was assassinated. The 444th and 111th Brigades swiftly seized SSA strongholds.

Economic instability persists for your average Libyan, amid ongoing oil disruptions on a national level.

In the Borova direction, Russian forces continued their advance west of the Zherebets River and have made progress towards the Kharkiv-Luhansk regional border.

Russian forces advanced in two main areas. Most of the progress was made in the south, with Russian forces exploiting their improved positions west and southwest of the village of Makiivka, advancing to the next forests. The positions in the forests were captured, along with the nearby forest plantations, while separate attacks took the rest of another forest and four more treelines. Further positions were also captured in a forested area to the southwest.

In the north, Russian forces made a small advance along two treelines, capturing positions there and in a small adjacent forest. Ukrainian forces fell back beyond the Tekuch River; however, the western bank of this river is already in the grey zone.

+ ~7.00km² in favour of Russia.
In the Siversk direction, Russian forces made new progress in and around the village of Verkhnokamyanske.

Russian forces advanced from the eastern buildings through the ruins of the village to the central part, capturing new positions in the basements of destroyed houses. They also captured the nearby agricultural buildings as well as a treeline further south.

Additionally, a trench fortification was captured north of the village after the Russians attacked downhill from the tactical heights.

+ ~2.60km² in favour of Russia.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, Russian forces continue their advance north towards the village of Romanivka and have captured further positions in the low-lying ground.

Russian forces advanced north through the forest plantations and captured new positions at the southeastern approaches to Romanivka, as well as in some small forested areas.

+ ~0.61km² in favour of Russia.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, Russian forces advanced and captured new positions in the direction of the village of Yablunivka,

Russian forces advanced north from the village of Oleksandropil, crossing a small stream and gaining a foothold on the southern end of a treeline. They then pushed north, uphill, capturing a section of the tactical heights on the treeline.

+ ~1.14km² in favour of Russia.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces continued to advance and have made progress in the village of Zvirove.

Russian forces advanced east from their foothold in the westernmost houses of the village and pushed towards the centre, recapturing previously lost positions there. This was in part facilitated by the recent Russian advance in the neighbouring village of Leontovychi which is on the northern bank of the tributary of the Solona River.

+ ~0.44km² in favour of Russia.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian forces have made significant advances and are now less than 1km from the regional border with Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Russian forces advanced with several attack vectors, capturing numerous treelines. They were able to push west from the central part of the village of Novooleksandrivka, completing its capture, before outflanking the village of Novoserhiivka (which is being simultaneously stormed) from the south. They are able to capture several treelines and got all the way to the southeastern outskirts of the village of Novomykolaivka.

Additionally, Russian forces advanced to the south, capturing more treeline positions, completing the capture of the tactical heights there. They also pushed north from positions west of the village of Nadiivka and captured two more treelines in the low-lying ground.

+ ~22.40km² in favour of Russia.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian forces continued their advance and have completed the capture of the village of Troitske, while also making further progress in the village of Horikhove.

Russian forces advanced west from their positions in the centre of Troitske, clearing the western houses which were in the grey zone due to a Russian advance in the treelines to the north and in Horikhove to the south, which threatened its encirclement. They then secured the western approaches to the village by capturing the rest of the easternmost street of Horikhove and the groves to the north.

Meanwhile in Horikhove, Russian forces cleared the rest of the southern street, advancing to the western part of the village, while gaining a foothold on two of the western streets. Additional progress was made in the centre of the village, with further houses being cleared there.

+ ~2.62km² in favour of Russia.
In western Donetsk Oblast, Russian forces continued to advance in the village of Bahatyr and have captured further positions.

Russian forces advanced in two main areas. In the south, they advanced to the large trench fortification south of Bahatyr and cleared it. They also made further progress in the southern streets, reaching the southwest of the village.

In the north, Russian forces advanced further northwest up the eastern streets, capturing new positions in the houses towards the northern part of Bahatyr.

+ ~1.82km² in favour of Russia.
A few hours ago, forces from the Palestinian Authority (PA) entered the Fara'a Refugee Camp in the Tubas Governorate of the West Bank and assassinated a Palestinian militant. The man was unarmed at the time, but was likely a part of the small armed group known as the Faraa camp company, which is subordinated under the Tubas Battalion, which is in turn part of the Saraya Al-Quds Brigades (armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad).

Due to a lack of supplies, fighters and significantly decreased raids into the camp, the Faraa camp company has been largely dormant lately. It is unclear if this man was just an ordinary militant or held a higher rank in the company.

A 3-day period of general mourning has been declared in Faraa, and it has been declared that the PA is "no longer welcome" there. This is the 18th Palestinian to be assassinated by the PA since October 7.

⚡️🇮🇱🇵🇸 Netanyahu: In the coming days, we will go in with full force to complete the operation and defeat Hamas. Hamas might say ‘timeout – we want to release ten more [hostages].’ Fine, bring them. We’ll take them, and then we’ll go in. But there will be no situation where we stop the war. A temporary ceasefire is possible, but we’re going all the way.

The Director of Sana'a International Airport in Yemen announced that the runway has been rehabilitated and is now ready to receive flights starting tomorrow.

Just one week ago, dozens of Israeli airstrikes targeted the airport and Israeli media claimed that it was completely destroyed.
