عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

بَدَأَ الْإِسْلَامُ غَرِيبًا، وَسَيَعُودُ كَمَا بَدَأَ غَرِيبًا، فَطُوبَى لِلْغُرَبَاءِ.

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah, who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Islam began as something strange, and it will return to being strange as it began, so glad tidings to the strangers.”

صحيح مسلم (١٤٥)

قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَمَنِ الْغُرَبَاءُ؟ قَالَ: الَّذِينَ يُصْلِحُونَ إِذَا فَسَدَ النَّاسُ.

It was said, “O Messenger of Allah, who are the strangers?” He ﷺ said: “Those who rectify things when people have become corrupt.”

مسند أحمد (١٦٦٩٠)

Benefit:
This path is lonely by default - you’re standing against the majority of the world to rectify it. But that’s exactly where its virtue lies. The road you’ve chosen is one of truth and honor, not popularity.

So don’t see your solitude as something negative. See it for what it really is: a glad tiding that you’ve been set apart for something greater.
