Actions to Attain the Reward of Hajj
How many times have you performed ḥajj?
How many times would you have liked to perform ḥajj?
Although nothing compares to physically performing ḥajj, Allah (subḥānahū wa ta‘ālā) from His kindness and sheer generosity has provided us with the opportunity to receive the reward of ḥajj without actually performing it.
Even though we cannot visit His Sacred House and be physically present in the inimitable atmosphere of ʿArafah and ḥajj, we can still hope to obtain similar rewards inshā’Allah through certain actions.

Instead of the blessed courtyard of al-Masjid al-Aqṣā being filled with takbīr during these sacred days of Dhul Ḥijjah, this morning it was filled with the voices of hundreds of occupation settlers performing their chants and prayers.
This is what it means to the Zionists—what does it mean to you?
What are you doing to help liberate al-Masjid al-Aqṣā
May Allah purify al-Masjid al-Aqṣā from the clutches of the Zionists and May He keep it honoured and elevated till the day of Judgement.

DHUL HIJJAH VIDEO SERIES: 8. What Should Saying Allahu Akbar Lead To?
We remind ourselves through Allāhu Akbar that Allah is the greatest over everything: in His essence, in His power, in His honour, and in His majesty. Allah is the King of kings unto whom everything is subservient.

Ḥajj is far more than a set of rituals. It is a comprehensive programme of spiritual, social, economic, political, and global reform. It combines worship with emotional, organisational, and communal dimensions.

Dr. Ala: A Testament to Strength, Resilience, and Faith
⭕ Doctor Hamdi Al-Najjar’s brother in an interview with Al Jazeera presenter days before the death of
Dr. Hamdi Al-Najjar:
> “I want the world to know this—Dr. Aala refused to speak to the media because she wanted to ask her husband’s permission, but due to his unconscious state. She couldn’t.
This was In obedience to Allah, and her dedication to her husband. She could have came out in the news, but she chose not to. Due to her immense faith and modesty.
> My brother Dr Hamdi, has unconditional love for his children. He named the different wards in his hospital, under the names of his children. Last year, they had twins and the one passed away after birth. And the other one; the sixth month old baby who is still under the rubble, survived. But, Dr Hamdi was completely devastated. How will I tell my brother that he has lost nine children?
> They are parents, who I truly admire. They brought up their children in an environment that was filled with intellect, studying and Islam. Dr. Aala has memorised the holy Qur’an, and Dr Hamdi is a man, who would quote to me such words of encouragement and patience that I would be dumbfounded at this man’s trust in Allah.
> Six of Dr Aala’s children are memorisers of the Qur’an, the eldest daughter studied the verses of the Holy Quran in depth receiving certificates. The parents of these nine children, had only one dream; and that was, for their children to become scholars of Islam, and study the religion.
> Dr Aala has displayed unimaginable patience and strength, when we see her, we say that she is patient. Yes she is, but It is Allah that has granted her this patience. She is a woman with a story undocumented in history. A mother who loses nine of her children in a few seconds, children who were burnt, torn apart and unrecognisable.
> She is patient, she is hopeful, she is strong, but inside, her heart is broken, she is shattered, barely eating and barely sleeping. I am afraid she will collapse or pass away too. But, Allah has granted her great patience.”

DHUL HIJJAH VIDEO SERIES: 9. Journey to Allah With Your Heart
Ibn Rajab (raḥimahullāh) explains that those who remain behind in Ḥajj due to a valid excuse can also recieve the reward of those who perform the journey.
While some of Allah’s servants physically travel to His house, there are some servants who travel to Allah with their hearts. These individuals may surpass the ones physically travelling to His House, due to their sincerity and determination.

ANOTHER HORRIFIC MASSACRE! At least 27 starving Palestinians have been killed, and over 100 injured after Israeli forces opened fire on people waiting for aid for food parcels at a distribution site in Rafah, Gaza.
May Allah punish every tyrant and oppressor who caused them suffering, both in this world and in Jahannam.

There is a gentle and beneficial reminder for us to keep in mind: Allah, exalted be He, has honored these days—the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah—and He loves to see us honor them as well. You may already be accustomed to performing good deeds such as giving charity, reading the Qur’an, teaching beneficial knowledge, supporting the causes of Muslims in Gaza, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and doing acts of righteousness in general. When you continue engaging in these deeds during these blessed days, accompany them with the intention of honoring what Allah has magnified. Doing so increases your reward for them.
In other words, even if you are already doing these acts by habit or routine, having the intention that you are doing them out of reverence for the sacred symbols of Allah will elevate your reward.
“That [is so]. And whoever honors the symbols of Allah—indeed, it is from the piety of hearts” (Qur’an translated meaning 22:32)
Undoubtedly, a wise and mindful Muslim seizes opportunities for salvation and elevation in rank, and thus strives even more earnestly during these days than at other times.
We ask Allah to aid us and you in obeying Him and in worshipping Him in the best manner.

Qurbani: More Than Just Tender Meat
Following in the footsteps of Ibrāhīm (ʿalayhis-salām), qurbānī or udḥiyah is the act of sacrificing an animal for the sake of Allah.
For many of us, this experience is limited to filling out a donation form or enjoying some lamb biryani.
But what is the purpose of qurbānī? What does Allah want from us? Why does He ask us to sacrifice an animal on this day?
Click this link for ten points which explore the devine wisdoms behind this great act of worship: https://lifewithallah.com/articles/seasons-of-worship/dhul-hijjah/qurbani-more-than-just-tender-meat/

Just weeks ago, the last ten nights of Ramaḍān ended, and now the ten days of Dhul Ḥijjah are nearing their close. Between these sacred times, lives pass and memories fade. Only in the grave will we truly appreciate the value of these moments.
Though most of the ten days have gone, the best are yet to come: the Day of Tarwiyah, the Day of ʿArafah, and Eid al-Adḥā. For those who fell short earlier, these are the greatest days of the year. Seek Allah’s help and act. Even small deeds during these days carry great reward.
