This publication is intended to fill a need for Islamic literature in the Afrikaans language, one of the most widely spoken languages in South Africa. It is part three of the Muntakhab series.

The booklet has been translated by Moulana Siraaj Joubert for the Al Hidayah Centre, Eastern Cape.

A foreword was kindly written for this series by Mufti M Taha Karaan rahimahullah, the former Principal of Dār al-ʿUlūm al-ʿArabiyyah al-Islāmiyyah. May Allah Ta'ala fill his grave with light.

Moulana Moulana Ahmed E Mahomedy, the Ameer of the Jamiatul Ulama KZN, and Moulana Junaid Adam, the Ameer of the Council of Ulama Eastern Cape also generously wrote forewords for the series.
