கண்டியில் உள்ள வரலாற்று சிறப்புமிக்க ஸ்ரீ தலதா மாளிகை வளாகத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள ஸ்ரீ மகா நாத தேவாலய மைதானத்தில் இன்று (15) காலை நடைபெற்றசம்பிரதாயபூர்வமாக '2026 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான அரச எண்ணெய் தேய்க்கும் விழாவில்' கலந்துகொண்டதன் பின்னர், மகா விகாரவம்சிக சியாமோபாலி மகா நிகாயவின் மல்வத்து பீடத்தின் மகாநாயக்க அதிவணக்கத்திற்குரிய திப்பட்டுவாவே ஸ்ரீ சுமங்கல தேரரைச் சந்தித்து, நலம் விசாரித்து சிறிது நேரம் உரையாடினேன்.

After attending the “State Oil-Anointing Ceremony 2026”, held this morning (15) in accordance with tradition at the Sri Maha Natha Devalaya premises within the historic Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy, I called on the Most Venerable Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Mahanayaka Thera of the Malwathu Chapter of the Siam Nikaya of the Maha Vihara tradition, inquired after his well-being, and engaged in a brief discussion.

Following the ‘State Ceremony of the Anointing of Oil 2026’ held at the Sri Maha Natha Devalaya premises within the historic Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy, this morning (15), I called on the Most Venerable Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Thero, Mahanayake of the Asgiri Chapter of the Siam Nikaya of the Maha Vihara tradition and engaged in a brief discussion while inquiring about his well-being.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා රාමඤ්ඤ මහා නිකායේ මහානායක අග්ගමහා පණ්ඩිත අතිපූජ්‍ය මකුලෑවේ විමල නායක හිමිපාණන් වහන්සේ වැඩ වසන මීරිගම, මිණිඔළුව, ශ්‍රී විද්‍යාවාස පිරිවෙන් මහා විහාරය වෙත අද (15) පස්වරුවේ ගොස් උදා වූ සිංහල සහ දෙමළ අලුත් අවුරුද්ද වෙනුවෙන් උන්වහන්සේගේ ආශිර්වාද ලබා ගතිමි.

Visited the Sri Vidyavasa Pirivena Maha Viharaya in Minioluwa, Meerigama this afternoon (15), where the Most Venerable Aggamaha Pandita Makulawe Wimalanayaka Thero, Mahanayake of the Sri Lanka Ramanna Maha Nikaya resided and received his blessings on the occasion of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.

'ක්ලීන් ශ්‍රී ලංකා' (Clean Sri Lanka) වැඩසටහනේ 2026 වර්ෂය සඳහා වන ක්‍රියාකාරී සැලැස්ම සහ පසුගිය වර්ෂයේ ප්‍රගතිය සොයා බැලීමේ සාකච්ඡාවකට ජනාධිපති ලේකම් කාර්යාලයේදී අද (17) පෙරවරුවේ එක්වීමි.

'ක්ලීන් ශ්‍රී ලංකා' (Clean Sri Lanka) වැඩසටහන යටතේ 2026 වර්ෂයේදී ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට යෝජිත ව්‍යාපෘති ජනතාවට වඩාත් සමීප වන අයුරින් සංවිධානය විය යුතු ආකාරය පිළිබඳව මෙහිදී දීර්ඝ ලෙස සාකච්ඡා කෙරුණු අතර, හුදෙක් රාජ්‍ය ව්‍යාපෘතියකට පමණක් සීමා නොවී, මහජනතාවට වඩාත් සමීප ව්‍යාපෘති තුළින් 'ක්ලීන් ශ්‍රී ලංකා' (Clean Sri Lanka) වැඩසටහන තවදුරටත් ප්‍රචලිත කිරීමේ අවශ්‍යතාව අවධාරණය කළෙමි.

තවද, පසුගිය වසරේ ප්‍රගතිය මෙහිදී සමාලෝචනය කරන ලද අතර ඉදිරි වර්ෂය සඳහා වන ඉලක්ක සපුරා ගැනීම සඳහා අදාළ පාර්ශව සම්බන්ධ කරගනිමින් කටයුතු කරන ආකාරය පිළිබඳවද සාකච්ඡා කෙරිණි.

'கிளீன் ஸ்ரீலங்கா' (Clean Sri Lanka) திட்டத்தின் 2026 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான செயல்திட்டங்கள் மற்றும் கடந்த ஆண்டின் முன்னேற்றம் குறித்து ஆராய்வதற்கான கலந்துரையாடலில் இன்று (17) முற்பகல் ஜனாதிபதி செயலகத்தில் கலந்துகொண்டேன்.

'கிளீன் ஸ்ரீலங்கா' திட்டத்தின் கீழ் 2026 ஆம் ஆண்டில் செயல்படுத்த உத்தேசிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள திட்டங்கள், மக்களுக்கு மிகவும் நெருக்கமான வகையில் எவ்வாறு அமைய வேண்டும் என்பது குறித்து இங்கு விரிவாகக் கலந்துரையாடப்பட்டது. அத்துடன், இது வெறும் அரசாங்கத்தின் திட்டமாக மட்டும் மட்டுப்படுத்தப்படாமல், மக்கள் பங்களிப்புடன் கூடிய செயற்திட்டங்கள் ஊடாக 'கிளீன் ஸ்ரீலங்கா' திட்டத்தை மேலும் பிரபலப்படுத்த வேண்டியதன் அவசியத்தை இங்கு வலியுறுத்தினேன்.

மேலும், கடந்த ஆண்டின் முன்னேற்றங்கள் இங்கு மீளாய்வு செய்யப்பட்டதுடன், எதிர்வரும் ஆண்டிற்கான இலக்குகளை அடைந்துகொள்வதற்காக சம்பந்தப்பட்ட தரப்பினரை எவ்வாறு ஒருங்கிணைத்துச் செயற்படுவது என்பது குறித்தும் கலந்துரையாடப்பட்டது.

Participated this morning (17) at the Presidential Secretariat in a discussion on the progress achieved in the previous year and the action plan for 2026 under the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ programme.

During the discussion, detailed consideration was given to how the projects proposed for implementation in 2026 under the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ programme should be designed to be more people-centric. I also emphasised the need to further promote the programme by ensuring that it is not limited to a purely government initiative, but is instead implemented through projects that are closer to the public.

In addition, the progress achieved in the previous year was reviewed, and discussions were held on how to engage relevant stakeholders to achieve the targets set for the coming year.

දෙදින නිල සංචාරයක් සඳහා මෙරටට පැමිණි ඉන්දීය උප ජනාධිපති ශ්‍රී සී.පී. රාධක්‍රිෂ්ණන් මහතා සමඟ ද්විපාර්ශ්වික සාකච්ඡාවලට අද (19) පෙරවරුවේ ජනාධිපති කාර්යාලයේදී එක්වීමි.

ඉන්දියාව සහ ශ්‍රී ලංකාව අතර පවතින දිගුකාලීන මිත්‍රත්වය සහ සහයෝගීතාව තවදුරටත් වර්ධනය කර ගැනීම පිළිබඳ අවධානය යොමු කරමින් මෙහිදී සාකච්ඡා පැවැත්වුණු අතර ආර්ථික, අධ්‍යාපන, සෞඛ්‍ය, සංචාරක, ආයෝජන සහ වෙළෙඳ ක්ෂේත්‍රයන්හි මෙන්ම විශේෂයෙන් බලශක්ති සුරක්ෂිතතාව සහ වරාය සංවර්ධනයට අදාළ දෙරට අතර සහයෝගීතාව තවදුරටත් ශක්තිමත් කර ගැනීම පිළිබඳවද අවධානය යොමු විය.

දිට්වා සුළි කුණාටුව හමුවේ සහ මැදපෙරදිග යුදමය තත්ත්වය සමඟ ඇති වූ බලශක්ති අර්බුදය හමුවේ ඉන්දියාව ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට ලබා දුන් සුවිශේෂී සහාය කෘතවේදීව අගය කරමින් ඉන්දියානු රජයේ සහාය ඇතිව මේ වන විට ක්‍රියාත්මක නිවාස ව්‍යාපෘති මෙන්ම දිට්වා සුළි කුණාටුවෙන් පීඩාවට පත් ප්‍රදේශ වෙනුවෙන් ලබා දුන් ඇමෙරිකානු ඩොලර් මිලියන 450ක පැකේජය යටතේ ක්‍රියාත්මක වන ව්‍යාපෘති පිළිබඳවද සාකච්ඡා කළෙමි.

එමෙන්ම, ආගමික සිද්ධස්ථාන සංවර්ධනය ඇතුළු ආගමික සහ සංස්කෘතික වශයෙන් ඉන්දියාව සහ ශ්‍රී ලංකාව අතර පවතින සහයෝගීතාව තවදුරටත් පුළුල් කර ගැනීම පිළිබඳවත්, විශේෂයෙන් මානව සම්පත් සංවර්ධනයේදී සහ රාජ්‍ය අංශය ඩිජිටල්කරණය කිරීමේ වැඩපිළිවෙළෙහිදී ඉන්දියාවෙන් ලබා ගත හැකි සහාය පිළිබඳවත්, දෙපාර්ශ්වයම සහයෝගීතාවයෙන් කටයුතු කර ධීවර ගැටලු සඳහා දීර්ඝකාලීන ස්ථිරසාර විසඳුමක් සෙවීමේ අවශ්‍යතාවය පිළිබඳවත් මෙහිදී සාකච්ඡා කෙරිණි.

இரண்டு நாள் உத்தியோகபூர்வ விஜயம் மேற்கொண்டு இலங்கை வந்துள்ள இந்திய துணை ஜனாதிபதி சி.பி.இராதாகிருஷ்ணனுடன் இன்று (19) முற்பகல் ஜனாதிபதி அலுவலகத்தில் இருதரப்பு பேச்சுவார்த்தைகளில் கலந்துகொண்டேன்.

இந்தியாவுக்கும் இலங்கைக்கும் இடையில் நிலவும் நீண்டகால நட்புறவு மற்றும் ஒத்துழைப்பை மேலும் மேம்படுத்துவது குறித்து இங்கு கலந்துரையாடப்பட்டதுடன், பொருளாதாரம், கல்வி, சுகாதாரம், சுற்றுலா, முதலீடு மற்றும் வர்த்தகத் துறைகளிலும், குறிப்பாக வலுசக்தி பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் துறைமுக அபிவிருத்தி தொடர்பான இரு நாடுகளுக்கும் இடையிலான ஒத்துழைப்பை மேலும் வலுப்படுத்துவது குறித்தும் அவதானம் செலுத்தப்பட்டது.

டித்வா சூறாவளி மற்றும் மத்திய கிழக்கு போர்ச் சூழல் காரணமாக ஏற்பட்ட வலுசக்தி நெருக்கடியின் போது, இந்தியா இலங்கைக்கு வழங்கிய சிறப்பான உதவிகளை நன்றியுடன் பாராட்டியதுடன், இந்திய அரசின் ஆதரவுடன் தற்போது முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டு வரும் வீட்டுத்திட்டங்கள் குறித்தும், டித்வா சூறாவளியினால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பகுதிகளுக்காக வழங்கப்பட்ட 450 மில்லியன் அமெரிக்க டொலர் நிதியுதவிப் பொதியின் கீழ் செயல்படுத்தப்படும் திட்டங்கள் குறித்தும் கலந்துரையாடினேன்.

மேலும், மத வழிபாட்டுத் தலங்களை அபிவிருத்தி செய்தல் உள்ளிட்ட மத மற்றும் கலாசார ரீதியாக இந்தியாவுக்கும் இலங்கைக்கும் இடையில் நிலவும் ஒத்துழைப்பை மேலும் விரிவுபடுத்துவது குறித்தும், குறிப்பாக மனித வள அபிவிருத்தி மற்றும் அரச துறையை டிஜிட்டல் மயப்படுத்தல் திட்டங்களில் இந்தியாவிடமிருந்து பெற்றுக்கொள்ளக்கூடிய ஒத்துழைப்பு குறித்தும், இரு தரப்பினரும் இணைந்து செயற்பட்டு மீனவர் பிரச்சினைகளுக்கு நீண்டகால நிரந்தர தீர்வை காண வேண்டியதன் அவசியம் குறித்தும் இங்கு கலந்துரையாடப்பட்டது.

Joined bilateral discussions this morning (19) at the Presidential Secretariat with the Vice President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, who is in Sri Lanka on a two-day official visit.

The discussions focused on further strengthening the long-standing friendship and cooperation between India and Sri Lanka, with particular attention given to enhancing collaboration in the fields of economic development, education, healthcare, tourism, investment and trade. Special emphasis was also placed on reinforcing bilateral cooperation in energy security and port development.

Expressed sincere appreciation for the exceptional assistance extended by India to Sri Lanka in the wake of the Ditwa cyclone and the energy crisis arising from the conflict situation in the Middle East. Also discussed the ongoing housing projects implemented with the support of the Government of India, as well as the projects being carried out under the USD 450 million assistance package provided for areas affected by the Ditwa cyclone.

The discussions also covered the need to further expand religious and cultural cooperation between India and Sri Lanka, including the development of religious sites.

Attention was drawn in particular to the potential for greater Indian support in human resource development and in advancing the digitalisation of the public sector. Both sides also underscored the importance of working collaboratively to identify a long-term, sustainable solution to the fisheries issue.

අද (19) පස්වරුවේ වැල්ලවත්ත, අමරපුර මහා නිකායේ සංඝ මූලස්ථානයේදී ශ්‍රී ලංකා අමරපුර මහා නිකායේ උත්තරීතර මහනායක අතිපූජ්‍ය කරගොඩ උයන්ගොඩ මෛත්‍රිමූර්ති මහා නායක හිමිපාණන් වහන්සේ බැහැදැක සුවදුක් විමසා ආශිර්වාද ලබා ගතිමි.

අමරපුර මහා නිකායේ ලේකම් මණ්ඩලයේ නායක හිමිපාණන් වහන්සේද මෙම අවස්ථාවට වැඩම කර සිටි අතර මෙහිදී උන්වහන්සේ සමඟ පිළිසඳරකටද එක්වීමි.

இன்று (19) முற்பகல் வெள்ளவத்தை, அமரபுர மகா நிகாயவின் சங்க தலைமையகத்திற்குச் சென்று, இலங்கை அமரபுர மகா நிகாயவின் மகா நாயக்க வண, கரகொட உயங்கொட மைத்ரிமூர்த்தி மகா நாயக்க தேரரைச் சந்தித்து சுகம் விசாரித்ததுடன் அவரிடம் ஆசி பெற்றேன்.

அமரபுர மகா நிகாயவின் செயலாளர் சபையின் நாயக தேரர் இந்நிகழ்வுக்கு வருகை தந்திருந்ததுடன், இதன்போது தேரருடன் சிறு கலந்துரையாடலிலும் ஈடுபட்டேன்.

This afternoon (19), called on the Most Venerable Karagoda Uyangoda Maithree Murthi Maha Nayaka Thero, the Mahanayake of the Sri Lanka Amarapura Maha Nikaya, at the Amarapura Maha Nikaya headquarters in Wellawatte, where I inquired after his well-being and received his blessings.

The Chief Prelate of the Amarapura Maha Nikaya Secretariat was also present on the occasion and had the opportunity to engage in a cordial discussion with him as well.
