ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ නිවාස හා ඉදිකිරීම් ක්ෂේත්‍රයට අදාළව පැවැත්වෙන ප්‍රමුඛ ජාත්‍යන්තර ප්‍රදර්ශනයක් වන “Build Sri Lanka නිවාස හා ඉදිකිරීම් ජාත්‍යන්තර ප්‍රදර්ශනය” නැරඹීම සඳහා අද (31) පෙරවරුවේ එක් වීමි.

මෙම ප්‍රදර්ශනය 20 වෙනි වරට මෙසේ පැවැත්වෙන අතර, ශ්‍රී ලංකා ඉදිකිරීම් කර්මාන්ත මණ්ඩලය විසින් මෙවරත් එය ඉතා සාර්ථක ලෙස සංවිධානය කරනු ලැබ තිබීම පිළිබඳ සතුටට පත් වෙමි. මෙරට ඉදිකිරීම් ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ නවමු පියවරක් තැබීම වෙනුවෙන් වූ රජයේ අභිප්‍රාය සාක්ෂාත් කර ගැනීමට මෙම ප්‍රදර්ශනය මනා පිටුබලයක් වනු ඇතැයි අපේක්ෂා කරමි.

இலங்கையில் நடைபெறும் பிரதான சர்வதேச வீடமைப்பு மற்றும் நிர்மாணக் கண்காட்சியான Build Sri Lanka வீடமைப்பு மற்றும் நிர்மாணக் கண்காட்சியைப் பார்வையிட இன்று (31) முற்பகல் கலந்துகொண்டேன்.

இந்தக் கண்காட்சி 20 ஆவது முறையாக நடத்தப்படுவதுடன், இலங்கை நிர்மாணக் கைத்தொழில் சபை இந்த முறையும் இதை வெற்றிகரமாக ஏற்பாடு செய்ததில் நான் மகிழ்ச்சியடைகிறேன். இந்த நாட்டின் நிர்மாணத் துறையில் ஒரு புதிய அடி எடுத்துவைக்க வேண்டும் என்ற அரசாங்கத்தின் நோக்கத்தை அடைய இந்தக் கண்காட்சி உறுதுணையாக இருக்கும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கிறேன்.

I attended the “Build Sri Lanka Housing and Construction International Exhibition,” this morning (31), one of the leading international exhibitions dedicated to the housing and construction sector in Sri Lanka.

I am pleased to note that this marks the 20th edition of the exhibition, which has once again been successfully organized by the Chamber of Construction Industry of Sri Lanka. I believe this exhibition will serve as a strong platform to realize the government’s vision of advancing the local construction industry to the next level.

“ඔබේ බදු මුදල් ඔබ වෙනුවෙන්” තේමාව යටතේ ක්‍රියාත්මක “බදු ශක්ති - ජාතික බදු සතිය” වැඩසටහනේ සමාරම්භක අවස්ථාවට අද (02) පෙරවරුවේ ජනාධිපති කාර්යාලයේදී එක්වීමි.

“உங்கள் வரி உங்களுக்காக” என்ற தொனிப்பொருளின் கீழ் செயற்படும் “வரி சக்தி - தேசிய வரி வாரம்" நிகழ்ச்சித்திட்டத்தின் ஆரம்ப நிகழ்வில் இன்று (02) முற்பகல் ஜனாதிபதி அலுவலகத்தில் கலந்துகொண்டேன்.

I participated this morning (02) in the inaugural ceremony of the “Badhu Shakthi – National Tax Week” program, held at the Presidential Secretariat, under the theme “Your Tax, Your Future.”

නිල සංචාරයක් සඳහා මෙරටට පැමිණි ඕස්ට්‍රේලියානු නියෝජ්‍ය අග්‍රාමාත්‍ය සහ ආරක්ෂක අමාත්‍ය රිචර්ඩ් මාල්ස් (Richard Marles) මහතා සමඟ අද (03) පෙරවරුවේ ජනාධිපති කාර්යාලයේදී සාකච්ඡා පැවැත්වීමි.

ශ්‍රී ලංකාව සහ ඕස්ට්‍රේලියාව අතර වසර 70ක ආර්ථික සහ දේශපාලන සබඳතා තවදුරටත් ශක්තිමත් කර ගනිමින් දෙරට අතර සහයෝගීතාව ඉහළ නංවා ගැනීම පිළිබඳ මෙහිදී සාකච්ඡා කළෙමු.

පසුගිය සමයේ සමුද්‍රීය ආරක්ෂණය, නීති විරෝධී වෙළෙඳාම, මිනිස් ජාවාරම්, ත්‍රස්තවාදය හා ආයුධ වෙළෙඳාම වැළැක්වීම සඳහා ඕස්ට්‍රේලියානු රජය ලබා දුන් සහාය ඇගයීමටද මෙය අවස්ථාවක් කර ගතිමි.

உத்தியோகபூர்வ விஜயம் மேற்கொண்டு இலங்கை வந்துள்ள அவுஸ்திரேலிய பிரதி பிரதமர் மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சர் ரிஷர்ட் மால்ஸ் (Richard Marles) உடன் இன்று (03) முற்பகல் ஜனாதிபதி அலுவலகத்தில் கலந்துரையாடினேன்.

இலங்கை மற்றும் அவுஸ்திரேலியாவிற்கு இடையிலான 70 வருட பொருளாதார மற்றும் வர்த்தக தொடர்புகளை மேலும் வலுப்படுத்திக்கொள்வது மற்றும் ஒத்துழைப்புக்களை மேம்படுத்திக்கொள்வது தொடர்பில் இதன்போது கலந்துரையாடினோம்.

கடந்த காலத்தில் சமுத்திர பாதுகாப்பு, சட்டவிரோத வர்த்தகம், ஆள் கடத்தல்,பயங்கரவாதம் மற்றும் ஆயுதக் கடத்தலைத் தடுக்கும் செயற்பாடுகளுக்கு அவுஸ்திரேலிய அரசாங்கம் வழங்கிய உதவிக்கு நன்றி கூற இந்த சந்தர்ப்பத்தை பயன்படுத்திக்கொண்டேன்.

I had the pleasure of meeting with the Hon. Richard Marles, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence of Australia, this morning (03) at the Presidential Secretariat, during his official visit to Sri Lanka.

Our discussions focused on further strengthening the longstanding economic and political relations between Sri Lanka and Australia, which span over 70 years and enhancing cooperation between our two countries.

I also took this opportunity to express my appreciation for the support extended by the Australian Government in recent years particularly in the areas of maritime security, combating illegal trade, human trafficking, terrorism and arms smuggling.

අද (03) ජනාධිපති කාර්යාලයේදී කෘෂිකර්ම අමාත්‍යාංශයේ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ නිලධාරීන් සමඟ සාකච්ඡාවක නිරත වීමි.

දේශීය වෙළෙඳපළ අවශ්‍යතා සපුරාලීම සඳහා මිල්කෝ ආයතනය සහ ජාතික පශු සම්පත් සංවර්ධන මණ්ඩලය කාර්යක්ෂම හා ඵලදායි ව්‍යාපාර බවට පත් කිරීමේ අවශ්‍යතාව සහ ඊට අදාළ යෝජනා පිළිබඳ මෙහිදී සාකච්ඡා කළෙමු.

දේශීය කිරි කර්මාන්තය, පිරිවැය අවම කරගනිමින් සහ සම්පත් උපරිම ප්‍රයෝජනයට ගනිමින් වෙළෙඳපළ මූලික කර ගත් කාර්යක්ෂම හා ඵලදායි ව්‍යාපාර ව්‍යුහයක් බවට පත් කිරීමේ අවශ්‍යතාව මෙහිදී පෙන්වා දුනිමි.

இன்று (03) ஜனாதிபதி அலுவலகத்தில் கமத்தொழில் அமைச்சின் சிரேஷ்ட அதிகாரிகளுடன் கலந்துரையாடினேன்.

உள்நாட்டுச் சந்தைத் தேவைகளைப் பூர்த்தி செய்யும் வகையில் மில்கோ நிறுவனம் மற்றும் தேசிய பண்ணை விலங்கு அபிவிருத்தி சபை ஆகியவற்றை வினைத்திறன் மற்றும் செயல்திறனுள்ள வர்த்தகங்களாக உருவாக்குதல் மற்றும் அது தொடர்பான முன்மொழிவுகள் குறித்தும் இங்கு கலந்துரையாடினோம்.

உள்நாட்டு பால் தொழிற்துறையை, செலவினங்களைக் குறைத்து மற்றும் தற்போதுள்ள வளங்களை அதிகபட்சமாகப் பயன்படுத்துவதன் மூலம் சந்தையை மையமாகக் கொண்ட வினைத்திறன் மற்றும் செயல்திறன் வாய்ந்த வர்த்தக கட்டமைப்பாக பேண வேண்டியதன் அவசியத்தை இங்கு சுட்டிக்காட்டினேன்.

This morning (03), I engaged in discussions at the Presidential Secretariat with senior officials of the Ministry of Agriculture.

We discussed the need to transform MILCO and the National Livestock Development Board into efficient and productive enterprises capable of meeting the demands of the local market. I emphasised the importance of developing the local dairy industry into a market-oriented, efficient and productive enterprise by minimising costs and maximising the optimal use of available resources.
